Yammer, hem, and haw.
Oct. 31st, 2001 02:28 amOkay, mostly just the yammer part. I made sure that James got to eat before he fell into a completely dead sleep (I am armed with Shells & Cheese. PH34R M3!), and then spent quite a while out front yammering with Cory and Zach about some interesting stuff. I lolled a few times because I would start feeling really tired, but then I'd come out of it and be back in.
Sometimes I think my personal best conversations are the ones where I don't have to talk *as* much. I'm not the type who often monopolizes a conversation, but at the same time, you also have to get me past the single-syllable answer stage, too. Somewhere between those two points, there's me and whatever thoughts I have on a given topic.
I wanna make this Mac & Cheese sometime soon. Even though it's Martha Stewart, and Martha Stewart is scary, it sounds lip-smacking, artery-clogging good. And apparently, she know what she doing. :D
Damn, I can't wait until my first NetFlix picks get here on Friday. I'm all excited about having an anime night. Ohhhh daddy! I can finally stray further from my shoujo roots. :D
I do have to choose a night though, which only becomes harder as the day goes on. I really wanted to do Thursday @ 9pm, because I never have anything due for class on Friday, but apparently the on-campus anime club (which on a night about 2 1/2 years ago blatantly ignored me and didn't try at all to recruit me even though I desperately needed a life not that I'm bitter or anything nope nope nope ;p) also runs *their* selections on that night, from 7-10pm.
So I guess the question is: do I want to chance running my anime night in direct opposition of theirs? I will have the power of mersh DVD quality on my side, and I suppose that anybody I know who has their heart set on attending both could bail out on the anime club's gathering after 2 hours. Maybe if I offer baked goods? Or pull a Bambi Eyes guilt trip? ;ppp
Anyways, I think I'm going to show Perfect Blue for the first week, and Sailormoon S: Hearts in Ice for the one after that. I hear Perfect Blue is good (albeit insanely violent), and I feel compelled to fight the scars of NA Sailor Moon's Really Bad Dubbing™, hence my choice of the SMS movie in the original Japanese. It's been too long since I've watched any Sailormoon anyway, what with all my tapes gone.
Anyway, I should think about catching some Zzzz's, for the good of humanity! Or something.
