Okay, mostly just the yammer part. I made sure that James got to eat before he fell into a completely dead sleep (I am armed with Shells & Cheese. PH34R M3!), and then spent quite a while out front yammering with Cory and Zach about some interesting stuff. I lolled a few times because I would start feeling really tired, but then I'd come out of it and be back in.

Sometimes I think my personal best conversations are the ones where I don't have to talk *as* much. I'm not the type who often monopolizes a conversation, but at the same time, you also have to get me past the single-syllable answer stage, too. Somewhere between those two points, there's me and whatever thoughts I have on a given topic.

I wanna make this Mac & Cheese sometime soon. Even though it's Martha Stewart, and Martha Stewart is scary, it sounds lip-smacking, artery-clogging good. And apparently, she know what she doing. :D

Damn, I can't wait until my first NetFlix picks get here on Friday. I'm all excited about having an anime night. Ohhhh daddy! I can finally stray further from my shoujo roots. :D

I do have to choose a night though, which only becomes harder as the day goes on. I really wanted to do Thursday @ 9pm, because I never have anything due for class on Friday, but apparently the on-campus anime club (which on a night about 2 1/2 years ago blatantly ignored me and didn't try at all to recruit me even though I desperately needed a life not that I'm bitter or anything nope nope nope ;p) also runs *their* selections on that night, from 7-10pm.

So I guess the question is: do I want to chance running my anime night in direct opposition of theirs? I will have the power of mersh DVD quality on my side, and I suppose that anybody I know who has their heart set on attending both could bail out on the anime club's gathering after 2 hours. Maybe if I offer baked goods? Or pull a Bambi Eyes guilt trip? ;ppp

Anyways, I think I'm going to show Perfect Blue for the first week, and Sailormoon S: Hearts in Ice for the one after that. I hear Perfect Blue is good (albeit insanely violent), and I feel compelled to fight the scars of NA Sailor Moon's Really Bad Dubbing™, hence my choice of the SMS movie in the original Japanese. It's been too long since I've watched any Sailormoon anyway, what with all my tapes gone.

Anyway, I should think about catching some Zzzz's, for the good of humanity! Or something.

YES! YES! YES!!

Christian and I made that mac-an'-cheese last week! MAKE IT!!! It is worth your while! Ignore that shit about substituting pecorino romano for gruyere, too... oh my lordy, that recipe is GOOD.

And yes, tout yours as the better Anime Night.

Oh my goodliness! :D Beyond the rape scenes and so forth, Perfect Blue is one of my favorite oldie-animes. Enjoy!

Perfect Blue isn't *insanely* violent. It's just moderately violent and insanely headfucky. The scene which bothers everyone else actually made me laugh in one place, and I'm Very Inclined To Be Bothered By Such Things. So, see. :)

Anime Nights are good. That's why we have one every Thursday.

Perfect Blue is really good. Judy thought it was insanely violent when I was watching it with her in the room, but she was just shocked to see blood in a cartoon, i think. Like everyone else said, it's more headfucky than violent. And IIRC, you see more of Mima's snatch than you do any actual blood. I really wanna force it on some of my non-anime-watching-friends sometime, some of em might actually dig it. Of course, I still have yet to manage making anyone watch Adrenaline Drive...

And that damn "Ai no Tenshi" song is annoyingly catchy. *twitch*
