batskeets: (ken)
I had a meeting this afternoon for ONHW stupf--soon I'll have all the proper logins and access to work with the actual server, and that will mean HAPPINESS. I may even have something to do during the interminably long break between whatever 8am class I have, and my afternoon block.

Speaking of which, I really must get the hell out of ARTD 412 Experiment Animation. It's an 8am class that I'm pretty positive I will hate, and I only registered for it because there was nothing else I could take that had open spots left. (stupid tuition surcharges coming out of the blue grumble grumble) It's not that I don't like animation, but it's not really something I can apply to my chosen field. And it will also likely be a lot of work, which is also not a bad thing, except that I kind of wanted to keep things low-key for my last term at Uni.

I hope Craig takes pity on me and lets me into Programming for Artists. Even if it turns out to be light on the actual programming side of things, I'll probably find it more useful to me.

In other news, we got an exercise bike today for $10 at Goodwill. It's basically 10000 years old and kind of nasty-looking, but it's still fully functional, so you'll hear no complaints from me.

And bugger, I have some phone calls to make now.

Random aside: Whose idea was it to have a beef jerky display in every automotive department, in every mega-mart, in the entire *world*? It's always beef jerky! No pork rinds or potato chips, just jerky! What on earth does beef jerky have to do with cars?

So, next week I have to wrangle my way into a different Multimedia course, which could mean showing up for anywhere from one to *four* different classes that I want to take, but will not necessarily get into. That's a lot of extra time for what may be absolutely no benefit.

Also, I'll be trying to get the ONHW server ready in between classes, because it's simplest for me to physically go to the server and work directly on it while I'm setting up the database.

Oh, and I also have to stay on top of my freelance projects. And I'll have two, perhaps three shifts at ye olde Vomit Comet, depending on how (un)lucky I get.

I have to buy books and materials at some point, which will be both time-consuming and painful for my wallet.

And, well, there's actually reviewing my Japanese material, so I don't sound like a complete goober in 301. I'm shooting for a complete review of 1st-year and 2nd-year material by a week from tomorrow.

And to top all that off, I just did some mental math, and figured out that I'll be on the fscking rag for the entire first week of classes. Which will, of course, make everything else that much more of a pain in the ass. UGH.

I'm starting to remember why I was so excited about finishing school and never going back to it EVAR!!!!!111

EDIT: In an effort to counterbalance the complaining, I should also mention that [livejournal.com profile] starkodama is going to sell me her extra copy of SMAP 003 for FIVE DOLLA!, because she is TEH 一番! Finally, I can start down the holy path of collecting SMAP goods. I am so owned! ;_;
