Augh, the con!

I'm already having wiggy fits about the con. Surpriiiiiise surprise.

Problem of the moment: figuring out when to pick up Boss-chan from Amtrak. She told me she was coming in on August 29th, and I just assumed that was the Thursday before we had to drive down. But the 29th is, in fact, Wednesday, so I'm being paranoid and thinking that she didn't really mean the 29th, but I'm also paranoid that she really *did* mean the 29th. I'm confused!!! ;_; I sent her e-mail earlier today but I haven't gotten a reply yet. Hopefully she'll check her mail before she actually gets on the train.

I still need to figure out what panels and everything I want to go to. I don't know that I'll really have a preference though, and I'll probably just end up tagging along for whatever panels the other girls go to. I remember seeing a Weiss Kreuz panel that I'll inevitably go to, because I've always had a soft spot for Weiss yaoi fics (and Weiss in general) but I imagine the others would want to go to that already.

I'm not even sure how we're gonna tackle this thing, as in the question of whether we'll stick together most of the time, or wander around solo a lot. Half the reason I'm going is for the company, so I'm kinda hoping it's the former, but I don't want to be clingy either.

One thing I won't have to worry about, thank god, is money. Even though I had to pay the credit card company, which I had originally forgotten to account for, I still have a great deal of surplus cash left even after the estimated hotel/food expenses. I'm probably going to live the po' folk life while I'm there though, because it would be nice to have some breathing room financially after I get back.

Dude, I sound so responsible. How weird is that?

I slept in bigtime today, damnit. And my eyes still hurt. I think I'm just going to stay home today. It's not like there's anything to really *do* at the office right now. I'll just work for Out West later if I feel up to it.

Anime con action, ohhoho!

Ha, so I told Jupesy-poopsie that I'd go to Anime North for her birthday if she went to SakuraCon for my birthday. Since it's a long ways off, I could save up and fly up to Toronto for that. Of course, then I'd have to annoy the crap out of folks like Kristiney and Suze until they agree to come by the con and see me. Bwahahahaa! ::rotfl::

I enjoy Toronto though, I wouldn't mind going there for Anime North, especially if it means someone I know might actually *consider* coming out to Seattle for SakuraCon... too many of the people I know online live back east, which makes it a pain for us if we're trying to meet at any given convention.

The only problem with that plan, though, is the fact that I'd be going to 2 conventions in like, a month. Which is kind of insane. ::lmao:: But one of them is quite close to home, so maybe it's not that bad. It certainly merits thought, and I have a loooong time to think.

Plan for this afternoon/evening: get a haircut, take James out to dinner, and/or pop down to Felicia's for moooovie night. Bossness looked and saw that her ticket actually said the 29th! But fortunately she was able to get her Amtrak ticket changed to the 30th, so all systems are go for tomorrow night. I was worried for a little while there. ^^;

Anyway, time to get started on things... my eyes still hurt, so I'm kinda trying to find things to do that don't involve me staring at a computer screen.

So much for haircut day today. James' stomach is bothering him *again*. I am going to get that boy in to see a doctor if it kills me. :p And damnit, I'm going to the hairdresser tomorrow come hell or high water. I'm a shaggy beast. I want my haircut! ;_;

Complaint of the instant: I just found a guy on WinMX who has Youjeen MP3s ahoy, and I keep getting connection errors when I try to get files from him. WAH! ;_;

Time to transfer more files, and figure out if we are actually going out to dinner or not. :p
