Augh, the con!

batskeetsI'm already having wiggy fits about the con. Surpriiiiiise surprise.
Problem of the moment: figuring out when to pick up Boss-chan from Amtrak. She told me she was coming in on August 29th, and I just assumed that was the Thursday before we had to drive down. But the 29th is, in fact, Wednesday, so I'm being paranoid and thinking that she didn't really mean the 29th, but I'm also paranoid that she really *did* mean the 29th. I'm confused!!! ;_; I sent her e-mail earlier today but I haven't gotten a reply yet. Hopefully she'll check her mail before she actually gets on the train.
I still need to figure out what panels and everything I want to go to. I don't know that I'll really have a preference though, and I'll probably just end up tagging along for whatever panels the other girls go to. I remember seeing a Weiss Kreuz panel that I'll inevitably go to, because I've always had a soft spot for Weiss yaoi fics (and Weiss in general) but I imagine the others would want to go to that already.
I'm not even sure how we're gonna tackle this thing, as in the question of whether we'll stick together most of the time, or wander around solo a lot. Half the reason I'm going is for the company, so I'm kinda hoping it's the former, but I don't want to be clingy either.
One thing I won't have to worry about, thank god, is money. Even though I had to pay the credit card company, which I had originally forgotten to account for, I still have a great deal of surplus cash left even after the estimated hotel/food expenses. I'm probably going to live the po' folk life while I'm there though, because it would be nice to have some breathing room financially after I get back.

Date: 2001-08-29 07:11 am (UTC)i'll go to the WK panel as long as it doesn't interfere with: the fanfic contest panel (i entered, i gotta go find out how bad i lost ^^;), the J-rock discussion and video events, and the "girls wanna know" panel. those are the ones that i refuse to miss. *giggles* i know i'm missing the final fantasy panel for GWK, which kinda sucks, cause I'd love to meet someone else that appreciates Rufus Shinra porn as much as me, but ah well... Plus, I wanna go fight with the WK people about why Youji is NOT A FUCKING UKE! least of all to AYA...fuckin' new-school retards. ;P
I kinda assumed we'd be hanging together for the majority of the con..it's more fun that way, y'know? And we're DEFINATELY spending one of the nights watching my QAF tapes, because god decreed it. ^_~ not to mention anywhere else we decide to go in SF...i still wanna ice skate! ;_;
and your responsibility amazes me. i'm bringing about $200 with me, and Katie already laughed and said "yeah, you're gonna be goin to the ATM." Bitch.

Well hey, I sound all responsible *now*... but I'll probably end up going broke and then making sad eyes at James until he covers my ass for the bills this month. Which is totally fair cos I fronted him bigtime for his dentist appointment a couple weeks ago. Bwahaha!
