So, I feel like crap today. I've felt like crap a lot of days, just in terms of being tired. I haven't been taking very good care of myself lately, and I'm sure that's to blame for a lot of it.

While I have successfully scaled it back on work obligations (albeit temporarily), I seem to be replacing those with social obligations, and it's clearly reaching critical mass. It's affecting my overall livelihood and my ability to enjoy things.

This needs to change.

With that in mind, I will endeavor to do these things:
--Sleep longer and more consistently (no more post-midnight-on-a-work-night runarounds)
--Get eating habits back in line (meal planning, less eating out)
--Stop drinking (no more than 1x/week)
--Say No to more activities (even if they *do* sound awesome, I must pick and choose)

I'm not even going to mention exercise or goals, because when I do the things listed above, everything else will fall into place on its own. Because I'll actually have energy and not feel like utter crap.

Deadline for starting this is Monday. Mark it.

I don't know why it's so hard to stop doing stuff and go to sleep, considering how great sleep is.

I'm working on a whole "hey dummy it's 5am go to bed" problem.

I've at least been able to restrict it to weekends, mostly, but on Tuesday night, I got home at 1:30am and was all, "oh, I should watch those last two episodes of Party Down! Wait, no, I'm a moron for even thinking this, because I need to sleep!"

Too much stuff to do once you have a Life (TM) with a Full Time Job (TM) or the equivalent. I don't think I've actually felt seriously bored in years.

Sometimes I feel like if I had a car, all the social, family, and personal obligations would not feel so overwhelming. But then I look at you, and how you constantly feel overwhelmed too, and I know I am wrong.

It's just that every single thing I do seems important, social, family, Karate, all of it.

I look at my calendar, and it is so overwhelming, yet there is almost nothing I feel like I can remove. Or would want to.

YES, and then there are the times when there are even more things I want to add, but I can't possibly fit them in. Learning to say no is really, really hard.

Of course, I am responsible for a lot of the things on my calendar. God, why am I so socially controlling? haha

I'm with you, though more on the, "If I follow through on making myself feel better with diet and excersise, the rest of it might fall into place" side of things.

That said... when can we hang out? It doesn't have to be soon, if you're just wall-to-wall with stuff, or need a break.

*hugs*

In the next week, I have Monday, or Thursday after 7 :) Or if you want to help me use my Groupon for Chez Machin, maybe Saturday lunch?

It's really good. :}

Noonish it is. What else do you have going on this weekend?

On this note, Hood Canal should be a very laid-back, recharge-your-batteries sort of weekend. I'm hoping to spend a good deal of time with my ass in a chair, reading a book. Possibly on the beach where I can throw rocks at a bottle if I feel like it.

So don't let anyone talk you into group activities you don't want to do.

Except a group game we have planned for Saturday night. That is required, because it will be awesome. :-p

Dude, don't even worry; Hood Canal is *exactly* what I need! Playing games, reading books, kicking around outdoors, and NOT driving to 3-5 different social engagements in a single day? YES PLEASE.
