Jerry Falwell is such a useless prick. Thousands of people have recently DIED, and all he can do is keep spouting off his hate-filled propaganda towards LGBTs, abortionists, feminists, and the like. Nobody needs to hear words like these when they're sitting at home, *mourning* the loss of someone they truly loved.

It's people like him who have made us all so apathetic and hateful towards organized religion. When did God stop being about love and acceptance and start being about hate, segregation, and unwarranted labels?

Want to see a good Christian? This is a good Christian. She's accepting of myself and her other friends, even though the tenets of her religion state that a lot of us are probably going to hell when we die. She doesn't hate me because I'm a non-religious half-breed with a live-in boyfriend, and she sure as hell wouldn't try to *blame* me for what happened at the WTC.

Here's a tip for the more hateful religious folk: instead of following Mr. Falwell's example, try being more like that girl up there--I think a lot of people would respond much better towards religion if you all did. I don't know about some people, but for most folks, when it comes to a belief system, love always wins over hate, and I am sick and tired of all the hate.

Jerry Falwell is an example of a modern day "pharisee"

He is one of the kinds of people that Jesus got angry about when he chased people from the temple in Jerusalem.

And I feel sorry for him. I really do. =(

He doesn't think I am a Christian because I am Catholic. But I know what I believe in. And I just wish I could help him understand. =(

Yes, I know what you mean. I'd probably write him a long letter about what I believe God is all about, if I thought he'd actually pay any attention to it. Unfortunately, his type is often the most stubborn and unwilling to change of the lot.

Falwell and his ilk

Jerry Falwell can be put in the same religious category as those who perpetrated this act. They don't see religion as a way to bring people together and to serve civilization, but as a vehicle for hate and discrimination.

True Christians and Muslims understand and care for their fellow man.

Word. I find it funny that he's out casting blame on innocent people for what has happened, when the people truly responsible for it were probably people very much like him.

Damn ...

... what a worthless asshole. Anyone that believes anything that he says is an idiot. I have never heard such a heartless, blatantly intolerant thing--outside of the Jerry Springer show--in my life. I think we would just be better to ignore him and go on with our lives.
