You know what sucks? When people profess excitement at the prospect of seeing you at some point in the future, and then don't even bother giving you the time of day once you're actually there. They'll just maybe say "hi" and then not even bother listening to a word you try to say for the rest of the day.

This has been happening to me a good bit more than I'd like lately, and boy howdy, is it getting old.

I think I must smell bad. Or have scary teeth, or something... ne? Seriously, you can be honest with me on this. ;p

You are so right about this! This exact same thing happened to me just yesterday, in fact, and it's a pet peeve of mine, so it's nice to see it irritates someone else as well.

Mine was "oh hey are you going to so-and-so's tomorrow? It'll be so great to talk about non-wedding things!" Then, who do they spend their evening with? The people talking about weddings.

So, I sympathize with your comment :)

Yeah, that's totally what I'm talking about. It's even worse when you get talked into going somewhere just because they'll be there, and still get ignored. :p It's like, hey, I'm a big girl, I can handle being told that I suck! :p

Yeah -- is it worse when you know they meant it when they asked you, and then blow you off, or when they were just being fake asking you in the first place?

Both are pretty bad. Faking from the start shows a total lack of honesty and respect, but meaning it at first and then blowing it off makes you kind of paranoid that you did something wrong between then and now. ^^;
