Time flies
Mar. 27th, 2014 04:39 pmI scrolled back through the photos on my phone earlier today, and found one from my 30th birthday party, which included myself, ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
marykae, and daemonwise. After a moment of derby wife squee--she'll be living in PDX again so soon! Ack ack ack!--I realized that she and I weren't derby wives yet, when that photo was taken.
And then, I realized that neither of us even knew what a derby wife WAS, when that photo was taken, because we hadn't tried roller derby. It was, in the grand scheme of things, not really that long ago, but so many things were different.
I don't think that 30-year-old me could have predicted the life I'm leading right now. But, I suspect she'd be pretty okay with it, at least. :)
