There I go getting political again

As nutty as it may sound, I am seriously considering registering Republican. XD

In other news, I biffed on over to Beaverton yesterday after work, to see about getting into a focus group for testing full-figured bras. A couple of the groups would be testing sports bras, and they intend to pay well for it. I don't know what criteria they're using to pick people, but I've done enough sports and worn enough bad sports bras that I can definitely tell them what's right and wrong with theirs, so maybe I can get some easy dolla' bills. ;p Hooray for b00bs!

Anyhoo, I am feeling much better today, after getting some fresh air and exercise and a bit of R&R. Ben helped out hugely just by making dinner the past two nights, so I didn't have to worry about it. I even got some freelance stuff done while I was sitting around at the focus group casting yesterday, so I think I'm getting towards feeling less overwhelmed.

Oh yeah, and I get a massage this afternoon! Some local place comes in twice a month and offers chair massages, so I figured getting rid of some tension would do me good. The Job does have occasional little perks. :)

And, I'm off.

We've got to go back... to the FUTURE! :O

So, yeah, the recent blip on my disgruntlement radar had me thinking about various Things I'd Like To Move Towards:

Emergency Savings - Now that moving expenses are winding down, it'd be good to get some backup saved up.

Have A Job I Like - Duh, the root of the whole mess. There are a few options for how to hit this goal, but nothing seems completely ideal, at the moment. I suspect this will eventually lead to self-employment, but that's okay, in light of other goals...

Buy A House - I am sick of throwing my money away on renting, and giving my money to crazy landlords. I *should* be putting it towards a property that will actually be MINE, and I aim to do just that.

Have My Own Business - Are you tired of being bossed around by people who don't know what needs to be done? Yeah, me too. ;)

Be Self-Employed By The Time I Have Kids - I would like to actually be there for my kidlet(s) when they need me, but working a strict-and-stodgy day job doesn't seem conducive to that. Still, not having any career at all would get boring. So, hey, if I'm my own boss, maybe I can do both!

Compete at Team Trials in 2009 - Yeah, okay, I had to throw in a frivolous one. ;p I have no idea if this will happen, but it's on my mind...
