"You are so money!"
Feb. 23rd, 2004 04:52 pmToday has been an almost disturbingly good day for those of us in #22. :)
For my part of things, PersonnelSource called me this morning, and when I returned their call, they asked me to come in, because they had a position in mind for me. It's a help desk internal tech support position, and I'd also probably get some exposure to network administration, so that'd be pretty beneficial for me. I have an interview for that tomorrow morning, and it's not even considered an entry-level job, so the pay would be good. The only part that sucks is that the interview's at 9am, and I slept in x 10000 today after getting hardly any sleep at Stanford, so getting up tomorrow morning is going to be rough.
So, yeah, I'm feeling pretty good about things today. The lady I talked to at PS seemed really hyped about me, in general, and even if the job tomorrow doesn't pan out, she said that they could probably have me working within the next week or so. HELL YES, that's what I say. :D I'm finally starting to feel like my computer-related campus jobs are worth something.
I also randomly got a check for $13.86, because I filed a claim online for that CD antitrust litigation some eons ago. The $13.86 was my portion of the settlement.
Also, everybody wish James luck, too, because he has a job interview tomorrow afternoon at the Mac Store! :) The interviewer is even someone we know, so that is 10000x awesome news already.
And another certain someone we know got his first acceptance letter for graduate school today! Woohoo! It's just one of many, I'm sure. :)
Anyhoo, I'm going to take it easy for the rest of today, and enjoy the fact that I'm home. I got the best sleep EVER last night, and it was fantastic. I'm so glad to be back in my own bed and on my own computer, and watching my own TV, etc., etc., etc. I'll write about Stanford later tonight, more than likely.
