Yeah, it's probably not the same guy, since he's using a different reply-to address, but it's still pretty funny. You know that your spam e-mails are getting excessive when they start following a storyline with the slightest hint of continuity. ::rotfl::

job angst

So I'm at work right now, but I don't know how much longer I'll be here for, because *somebody* didn't find another person to cover him this week. I can understand why, given that he gave us all maybe half a day's notice. :p I suppose I should start calling people soon.

I'm filling out all the applications I picked up late last week for retail stores, and I'm getting really pissed off and paranoid about the two previous management types who weren't completely straight with me about why I was being released. I don't want to be blindsided later on by an even remotely negative recommendation. I even asked the most recent case point-blank to let me know if I shouldn't list them, and they didn't say anything to that effect, but I'm still nervous.

Even though I know I sometimes take criticism a bit too personally, right now I think I'd welcome the opportunity to work for somebody who would just TELL me when I'm doing good work, and likewise, also tell me when I'm competely sucking ass at my job.

Well, they're simply retail jobs, so I know I can handle whatever they throw at me, and my prior bosses in food service and retail have all been pretty pleased with me, so hopefully it won't make that big of an impact.

I suppose I should get on the phone and start calling other staffers now, in the hopes of finding someone else to work tonight. Perhaps more later.
