It's another day. I have art history in an hour or so... not too exciting, but what can you do, eh? ::shrugs::
I officially *love* Healthy Choice. This Chicken Fettucine Alfredo is so pretty and tasty... it's really wacky when I realize it's actually good for me. Or at least, it is as compared to most alfredo pastas.
Oh yeah, there's a new Flicking It! layout up now for the main page... I'm still kind of tweaking with it, but the basics are there. I haven't changed the interior pages yet, but those will come later.
I need to figure out a paper topic for Linguistics... it's going to be something about metaphor. After Monday's lecture I'm totally sold on that, b/c it was a *very* cool lecture, and it's definitely a topic that I wouldn't mind exploring more in-depth.
The bad part of this is: I have to go to the Knight Library in order to narrow down a topic/do research for said paper. Have I mentioned how much I hate that freakin' library? I've never had such a high appreciation for Internet-based research than I have ever since I was exposed to that horrific library. It makes no sense to me. x_x

Repetition
May. 9th, 2001 02:11 pmArt History is starting to get pretty tired. We view like, 50000 different paintings, sculptures, triptychs, and what-have-you, and they're ALL about Jesus or the apostles or something else insanely biblical. I *know* there has to be at least one example of great western art that *isn't* religious... so why aren't we seeing it?? :p
Getting home from work does not mean relaxation, friends. I had to run a few errands right when I got home, because places would close if I didn't leave right away. After that, I went nuts getting good deals at Safeway on fruits and veggies and a couple other miscellaneous things. Best deal of the day: a 1lb bag of salad for $0.28! Not bad for a screwball kid, eh? ^_-
After that, it was nice, though. I made some progress on Flicking It!, and I'm almost at the point where I'd feel okay about opening the site. I still need to write my Soapbox column, but I haven't really had a chance to look at the 50 Most Beautiful articles yet. ^^;;; Soon, though, soon.
And speaking of movies, it was movie night at Felicia's again, and this time around we watched It Happened One Night. It was a very enjoyable movie, and I can see why it won so many big Academy awards. I think I kind of understand what the big deal was about Clark Gable now, too. All I'd ever seen him in prior to tonight was Gone With the Wind, and his character, uh, didn't exactly grow on me there. But in *this* movie, he definitely had a real charm about him, and you couldn't help but like the character. Overall, an A+ film! :D
