Well, someone I sort of know (but haven't physically seen in probably a couple of years now) seems to be quite convinced that both they, and I, have Asperger's.

...this is not to say I've never suspected that of myself. Because, I did once, quite a few years ago. But, I can't help but assume that, if I did have it, then my super-awesome now-former therapist would've picked up on it after seeing me for 2 years? And, it was most certainly not a thing I expected to hear out of the blue via the internet. XD

Still, I'm glad they at least have answers for themselves, at least. Simply having an answer or an explanation for such things can do so much for a person's mindset and ability to cope.

Hunh. I have known very many people with degrees of Aspergers. (Yay CMU!). I would not think that you have it.

Yeah, I mean, some of it makes sense, but there are quite a few other symptoms that just don't apply to me. As opposed to when my old therapist brought up ADD to me, and the more indicators she asked me about and the more she explained to me, the more I felt like, "HOLY SHIT THAT IS EXACTLY ME."

I diagnose ASD for a living. Wouldn't be ethical for me to actually test you, but happy to talk about it/answer questions/hypothetically talk symptoms, etc. if you want.

Hrm. I wasn't really taking it seriously, and I wouldn't know where to begin asking questions. ^^; But I'm certainly open to talking about it, heh.

If a licensed medical professional has not diagnosed you, I wouldn't worry about it. I have a coworker who loves to play at being a medical professional and it's more harm than good because Not A Doctor.

Heh, I am definitely not worried by any stretch of the imagination. :)

This is interesting! How do you feel about this? Have you read any books? It seems to be hard to find books about adult Asperger's.
