Anybody doing anything Friday night? Or possibly want to get together?  My Friday night is mysteriously empty, and I'd like to change that. Also, J will be returning from a trip that night and looking to decompress, so drinks or funtime would be awesome. Maybe some karaoke?

Anyhoo, weekend update on a Wednesday, because that's how I roll:
  • As previously mentioned, I bounced around at the ComicsFest with J for a couple of hours, and it was lovely, and I also ran into a [livejournal.com profile] dark_knightly and a [livejournal.com profile] moonchylde !
  • Did a bit of in-studio test shooting with [livejournal.com profile] theamazingjosh for a couple of hours. We started later than I expected, and I don't know that we got a lot accomplished, but it was good to hold a Nikon in my hands again. Soon, my pretties, very soon...
  • Went to a speed skating clinic, which was open to all levels, so that sort of limited what we could go over, but I did learn a couple of things that I'm going to try and be mindful of in my form. Faster, faster!
  • Closed out my Saturday at [livejournal.com profile] sarapada and [livejournal.com profile] monkeyhole 's housewarming, where there was a most excellent housespace, tasty snacks, lovely people, and Rock Band. I am also now less confused by Pro Keys mode, although I still think the interface is kind of stupid. I actually have piano-playing skills! IT SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD. XD
  • I had a lazy morning at the house on Sunday, ate breakfast and worked out, and then bounced over to the Bagdad for the WOJ vs. BAD bout viewing party. Due to some odd thing about a restricted number of event permits, there was a bout, but they weren't allowed to have spectators at the hangar. So, we watched a boutcast on the big screen, and it was a bit strange to be cheering for people who couldn't hear me, so I imagine it was even weirder for the players to be playing a national-level bout with nobody watching. But, it was good fun and we had a pretty packed house!
  • Endurance practice was afterwards, and yeah, I love that. There's something that feels very zen-like about it, because it's all variations on a theme: namely, skating around and around the track. It's nice to just focus on working hard, rather than getting wigged out by confusing drills.
  • After that was the Game of Thrones premiere hosted by [livejournal.com profile] phasmaphobic and [livejournal.com profile] veiravx , and OMJESUS IT WAS SO GREAT. So great that I even blogged about it a little. It's already been renewed for a second season, it's getting fantastic reviews, and if there was a way for them to have executed this better, I can't think of it. I'm even more excited for the next episode, if that's even possible.
Anyhoo, tonight, I'll be shilling derby tickets at Beulahland for Cheap Ticket Night. The week has been pretty nice, thus far, but I think I'd like to just fast-forward to Sunday, because if the last Coliseum bout is any indication, I'll be ready to fall over from exhaustion by the time Saturday is over.

Still, it could be worse. I'm making calzone for dinner tonight, and it's going to be delicious.

You can join us after the Wreckers meeting at Buffalo gap. Meeting ends at 8.

Also, I am thinking of coming out to help sling tickets and get a beer tonight and would prefer to join you and High Rollers... but it depends on whether or not I am tired of taking inventory of my home.

Mostly being at home is less exciting when you're here all the time and all you want to do is read Doctor Who Spoilers and think about skating but not feel like going out alone.

True fact; I love my house much more now that I'm barely in it anymore, heh.

But, YES. Come to Beulahland! <3 And keep me updated on Friday night.

Yeah, work makes me want to come home. When I am working at home.. well it's nice because I can take long beaks or whatever, but I don't get a lot of socializing done, Josh works and I try to leave him alone.

I am so incredibly free Friday night it's not even funny, and -also- looking for something to do. :) I was just about to post to Facebook about this.

We should make plans!

YAY! This needs to happen!

The workday has left me tired and lacking ideas for things to do, beyond, "derp... karaoke?" So, I'm totally open to suggestions.

I don't have any good suggestions, but we have time to think about it. Somehow I don't think you'd be wanting to go to the metal show I was originally thinking of. :}

Karaoke could be fun. I wonder if there would be any other good bands or dancing? I'm up for anything, really, except staying at home by myself.

METAL IS THE LAW! \m/ But, yeah, I probably wouldn't know the band you were going to see. ;)

There is dancing at Red Cap Garage, DJed by the guy who used to do Shut Up and Dance at the Fez. I was also thinking about Legend of the Fist at the Hollywood Theater, but they haven't posted the showtimes yet: http://hollywoodtheatre.org/coming-soon/legend-of-the-fist-the-return-of-chen-zhen/

It's just a local band, some coworkers of Jez's, and I had a lot of fun at their last show and was thinking of going out to support them again. But not anyone I'm a huge fan of or anything. :)

I kinda want to go booty-shakin' to something funky because it's all been goth/industrial clubs and shows for me lately. Does Lola's still have 80's night on Friday? What about Soul Stew at the Goodfoot? It's too bad that Atlas is only once per month, because that would be awesome. Does dancing even sound good to you?

I don't know many movies in that genre, so I could look it up. Definitely a possibility, if we wanted something mellower.

Obviously I'm having a hard time deciding what I want to do, but I want to do something with you! Yay!

Heh, I'm feeling pretty indecisive, myself. Dancing sounds fun right now, but who knows what I'll think by tomorrow evening. XD We could always play it by ear and see how we feel tomorrow afternoon/early-evening?

I think I'll actually be free tomorrow night since I've caught up with my writing homework. Don't really have any suggestions for fun, though. You probably know or can guess that I stay in most Friday nights, just like all the other nights. You never did get your cider dr0nk on, but Bushwhacker's gets pretty busy on Fridays...

Yeah, I don't know what I'll be up for tonight; I'm feeling all lame and homebody-ish. Hooray for burnout!

We should do cider on a not-busy night, though, like damn.

That's M-W, generally. Let me know when you have a hole in your schedule. I still owe you $40 for catsitting.

At home stuff... hrmm. Video games? Movies? Gladitorial knitting? TV series viewing parties and RPGs take more commitment than you're looking for. I could bring over Zombie Dice and we could murder a small town.

Actually.. games, games.. I've got a few. Lunch Money? Kill Dr. Lucky takes at least three players, I think. Settlers of Catan takes 4-6. Apples to Apples is better with more people...

Jessica's gonna be home late, and then she's making the other half of dinner, so I probably couldn't do anything until 8ish, but that's early for a Friday night, isn't it?

Okay, as of right now, it's looking like Donnie Yen filmtastic ridiculosity (http://hollywoodtheatre.org/now-showing/legend-of-the-fist-the-return-of-chen-zhen/) at the Hollywood Theater, if you are game for that! Joe's flight into PDX is delayed until 8-ish, so it'd be the 9:15 show. :)
