I was unexpectedly sucked into looking over old LJ entries from this time last year, and it has served a much-needed reminder that things were so, SO much worse, even just one year ago. And that's not to mention the years that came before it. There are certainly a couple of things that hurt right now... but there's much, much more to be hopeful for.

Thanks, internet. I kind of needed that today.

It may not seem so on a day-to-day basis, especially from the inside-looking-out, but everything I've seen from you in the last year+ shows that you've been on a hell of an adventure. And doing a helluva job at it, too.

Heh, I think at this point, I'm simply grateful that Life stopped kicking me in the proverbial gut just long enough for me to grab some protective padding.

Calmer seas would be so, so nice. But, it's not the emotional shitstorm of 2009, so I'll raise a glass (or hell, several glasses) to that.
