My hops are officially off the (9-section whip) CHAIN right now. Well, compared to my usual, anyway. I have to wonder if I'll ever stop falling for the allure of achieving flight for ~2.8 seconds.

The down side of this? My whole body hurts. SO MUCH. And I'm supposedly going running today, too. D:

On a related note, I also find it funny that, on the actual day of my 30th birthday, I'll have wushu class, which means I'll be spending at least 45 minutes of that day jumping around and basically pretending that I'm not Older Than The Hills. (and yes, by "Old," I mean Athlete Old, not Actual Old.)

In other news, it would be awesome if I could somehow get ahold of a phone booth, put it into my house, and then neatly dispose of the thing once I'm done with it. That's, um, pretty unlikely. But it'd be great. <3

Party ideas are exploding out of my brain, but I should probably get the SPAAAACE HELMET going before I worry about these other things. But, as always, "should" and "will" are two different things.

I may not be able to make you a phone booth, but I can CERTAINLY make you a Time Machine ala Calvin And Hobbes. ;P

I'm thinking this could be done. We could set up a Fauxtobooth and provide a crash helmet and Vortex Goggles, and people could take pictures of themselves. :}

It seems like a good idea in my head...

How convenient that I just ordered THIS (http://www.alienbees.com/abr800.html) for Fauxtobooth purposes. Muahaha!

In all seriousness, a fridge box form an appliance store could be cut/painted/modded to make a fake phone booth for a night. Put it in front of a door, and you can duck in and have room to do all kinds of things.

I have it on good authority that you are not OLD AS HILLS unless you were born in 1920.

As for space helmet, Joel and I will be coming up for your party on a motorcycle. Joel's helmet is white, so if you wanted to borrow it for while we are there (which won't be more than a couple hours, but long enough for photos)....

Well, I have a mind to modify the helmet with paint and such, so I probably have it covered. But I appreciate the offer!

I'd also be curious to know where he got said helmet, though, and if it was cheap!

Not cheap. Not at all. We got them online and specifically for their safety rating. If you think you'll ever need one for a motorcycle, I'll be happy to get more info from Joel. If no, then Goodwill is probably your best bet.
