So, [livejournal.com profile] typsie made a post about handing out bubble wrap in a public place, and I found myself really excited by the idea of taking pictures and video of this as it happened, to document people's reactions to the simple joy of bubble wrap.

THEN, I thought that I would LOVE to make something like this into a photo book.

One of the major reasons why I love doing people photography is because I get to step into a person's life, and use my skills to actively make them feel happier. My work gives them the opportunity to remember happy times, to think more deeply on what they believe and who they are. It helps them celebrate themselves, their beauty, the things they create... and so on.

So, a book like this seems like something I could take real ownership of. There's part of me that really loves documenting things spontaneously as they happen; it's one of the reasons why I'm okay with shooting weddings. (I think I'm the only photographer I've met who shoots fashion and *doesn't* also hate shooting weddings) and to be documenting an occurrence like this would basically spread the happiness in a larger scale.

I'm not sure if the bubble wrap endeavor would be enough to fill a book on its own, but I know there've been other ideas for spreading fun and happiness in public places... so a few of those together might do this. A book of Random Acts of Happiness.

What I'm wondering is:
A) would you like a book like this?
B) would you buy a book like this?
C) would you want to collaborate with me by creating some of these Random Acts?

Share thoughts. Also, if anyone else has already done this, don't hesitate to point that out. It's good to know what you're dealing with. :)
