For those who might've missed all the buildup in recent weeks, the bailout failed. These financial happenings are scary business. We have made at least some preparations, because we heard warning rumblings months ago--the internet is good for that, sometimes--and while I'm not as prepared as I'd like to be, I'm certainly better off than I would've been, had this happened a few years ago.

As much as I like to complain about The Job, it has given me a lot more flexibility, financially-speaking. And, I've managed to keep my spending at about the same level as it was pre-Portland, so I could be doing a hell of a lot worse.

And, to get the more depressing parts of this post out of the way, my body is attempting to get sick AGAIN. Fortunately, there's no fever, so I think I should be able to rest this evening, sleep it off, and be okay by morning.

On a more positive note, we finally have a full house! We found a guy for the last room, and he seems cool so far. It's definitely good to have the room filled. The house feels like it's starting to actually come together now... enough so that we spontaneously invited Morgan and Miles over last night to play board games, and I actually *didn't* feel like I had to constantly apologize for the mess. :)

We had FIVE shoots this weekend--two fashion, two senior portraits, and an athletic test shoot--so I about died from all the running around, but oh, we definitely got some awesome images. I'll probably blab more about the shoots when I feel less crappy. I hope the athlete test shoots keep going well, because there are some big-money athletic clients to be had around these parts. I want a piece of that pie!

Mmmm, piiiie.
