I'm too busy to celebrate for more than a minute, but I just randomly discovered that we're in the Mercury! They credited us by company name, which is way better than crediting me individually, as far as pimping the business. BWAHAHA. We can has moneez nao?

We've had some pretty exciting meetings with new potential clients and partners this week, too, so there's a lot to be pumped about. It's rather nice when fate conspires to give you an extra boost, when you start feeling too much like your hard work isn't leading anywhere. :)

Anyhoo, The Job is mercilessly sucking out my brain this week, so I'd better get back on it, so I can escape with the quickness this afternoon.

so you mentioned one time that you don't really know how to market your photography site? maybe i'm on crack and you didn't.. but that's like, my entire job so i took a preliminary look at your site and you're really doing a great job.
i have a pro membership at seomoz, and if you like i can run a bunch of reports for you.

I did say that! And yeah, I think I did okay in some parts, but I think we want to convey a more personal feel with the copy, and we're not really doing that right now.

Mostly, I just don't know a lot about SEO so I don't know if anyone is even finding our site. :/

well i only ran a page strength report, but you were 2/10, which isn't great, but shows you're not an r-tard when it comes to keyword saturation. i would read the free articles at seomoz.org and i can send you copies of some of the premium articles. there are 2 in particular that i think you would benefit greatly from.
there are also a few firefox SEO addons (or pluggins or whatever we're calling them at the moment) that i use. seoquake is a good one, but you have to be really careful with it and keep it turned off when you're not using it. it can get you banned from using google! also k-gen. that's my favorite. it will scan your page and tell you the frequency and weight of the keywords you currently use along with a chart of what html elements carry the most weight. of course title carries the most, then h1, ect. i scanned your page and photography is the #1 keyword followed by creative. that is a really good start, though i think "portland" should be up there, too.
utilize google local and yahoo local and msn local. this is one of the top ways people from your area will want to find you.
and really i'm just repeating about a dozen articles i've read on the topic, and i am not great at regurgitating information in a way that makes sense, so i will just send you copies of the stuff i've kept because of it's usefulness. if you send me an email at andreastart (at) gmail.com, i will reply with helpful goodies!

marketing is fun!!

that's probably the most helpful quick fix out there. also, i have a zip file put together for you of other very helpful things, like i said, just email me.
and any report you see on seomoz that you might like run for your site, just let me know. they aren't time consuming, so i don't mind running them.
