batskeetsThis cold will not die! My throat still feels like I've swallowed a golf ball, and there's too much going on this week for me to take a day off and sleep. Bloody hell.
Oh, and to add to the stress, most of the insanity is actually job-related, for once. See, my org. and the other two providers collaborating on The Big Project I'm Tasked With all brought three design ideas to the table on Tuesday, for review by the client. The client seemed to like mine best, because they chose three designs to be revised and expanded upon, and two of those choices were mine.
So yeah, that's great because of the kudos for my 1337 skillz, sure. But, it's not-so-great because I have twice as much revision work to do in the same amount of time. I'm a winner and a loser! The revisions also need to be completed by next Tuesday morning, and Monday's a holiday. So, basically, they have to be done by the end of tomorrow.
So, yeah, no sick day for me. :p Soldiering on, I guess.
I picked up a quick photo assignment last night, that I just shot today, about an hour or two ago; the task was to do a really quick portrait with a film director, for a smallish magazine. He's been touring around the country to promote his film, so he arrived the hotel straight from an interview, and he had to catch a plane not long after, so we just did some quick shots in the lobby. He was clearly exhausted and he was yawning a lot, but he was really nice in spite of being tired.
I hadn't really done an assignment like that before, so it was cool to get that experience. Fortunately, the hotel lobby was gorgeous, so setting wasn't such an issue. Also doubly-cool is that I'll actually have my work published in print! I've only had my photos used in web-based magazines before, and even then only one or two of them, so yeah, I'm excited. :)

phasmaphobic yesterday, and we're going to do an *awesome* shoot with him next month. It's so cool when clients actually have fun ideas that they want to shoot! This is going to rock so hard.
Oh yeah, and the place we ate at for lunch? It was a cute little lunch counter called ANCIENT CHINESE SECRET. Bwaaaahh! XD
And in closing: I COMMAND YOU TO WATCH THIS. I must admit to being pumped for it. If you don't like Indiana Jones, I may have to examine your head. Indy owns all face.
