I'm feeling lazy today, so it's LINK SPAM TAIMU :O Inspired by Sunday night's get-together, even:
If you haven't yet experienced the terror of FPS Doug: BOOM! HEADSHOT!!
Also, you must now pity me, because this has been stuck in my head all damned morning: Captain! Jean-Luc Pi-card of the U.S.S... En-ter-prise!
Well, yesterday was not horrible, but not great. I didn't get to eat dinner until after 10:30, and I was dragging my ass through wushu practice before that. How I managed to bust out 3 sections of the new form during lines, I'll never know. Oh, and I was retarded and forgot to tell TiVo to grab Project Runway, and due to forces outside of my control, I didn't get home until after it was already over. ::cry:: The gods don't want me to watch TV This week, apparently.
On the up side, Alton Brown did a fantastic episode of Good Eats which is now making me crave Steak au Poivre something fierce--of course, right now, there are a *lot* of things that sound good--and I also have tonight off from practice, so my poor body can finally recuperate some.
With my recent fanfic reading, I'm remembering some of the reasons why I stopped reading fanfic so much. Mostly, it's because there are soooo many bad ones, and there's really not much you can do to avoid them, that I know of. So, you just read until you decide it's too horribly-written to continue reading, and of course, by then, you've already wasted several minutes of your life on a really shitty fanfic. :p The other complaint? Way too many badly-written NC-17 scenes. Maybe I'm just weird or picky, but it seems like a good 95% of sex scenes just come off as really OOC for the characters involved, even if the rest of the story was reasonably in-character. No fandom seems immune to that effect either, so that's what I call Skimming Time. ;p
Man, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Friday! <3 I'm out.
