batskeetsI'm being avoidant for a moment, because I'm really not looking forward to flailing around in confusion for the rest of the afternoon. SO!

bookid and rantar have a Japanese international student (Keigo) staying with them for a few days, and he's very small and cute, and also very mild-mannered and polite in that oh-so-Japanese way. He also has the coolest damned gadgets ever, because Japan always seems to get the cool toys before North America does. I've been too chicken to try any Japanese on him, which is partly because I've been too sleepy to think in Japanese at all, beyond say, "konbanwa" or "daijoubu," but maybe I'll feel decent enough for it before he leaves. :p
Keigo and, presumably, some other NJs are making dinner tonight, so hooray yummy Japanese food! I'll be interested to see how my version of Japanese food compares... I use what I like to think are fairly authentic recipes, but homestyle food is generally difficult to sift into a recipe that most people can follow.
HEY, y'all should help me think of ways to decorate and/or fill my desk! I can pretty easily think of things to hang on my cube walls, once I get them, but the desk itself is very barren, in spite of all the lovely hutch compartments it has. What I have so far:
--Respectable selection of CDs to get me through the day
--A Cutey Honey and a Nurse Honey figurine
--A little Gir plush toy
Ideas? I've also thought of a photo or two, but I need to buy a frame for that. And I know somebody out there must have at least one idea that's fun and silly, and not just sentimental.
Okay, I'm running away now.

Well, I always have said that I could easily wind up with a male Maid of Honor... XD (oddly, that *was* one of the people I thought of when making that statement, too) Also, I'd be 62 years old by then! And able to do it 49 times in a single night! WTF?? ::asdlfkhasdlfkhadkl::

Desk Goodies
