Question for those who have some knowledge of 3-D software! :D

Do y'all have any ideas for good web sites to look at for tutorials on learning 3-D software? Bear in mind that I made a landscape in Bryce maybe once, and didn't really know what I was doing, so I'm quite a beginner. Also, Maya tutorials would be preferable, because I'm still working on getting 3DSMax. (I'll get 3DS eventually, though)

If you could recommend a good book on 3D, too, that'd also be a big help! I'd have to wait until I get paid before I can go buy it, though.

Thaaaaank you! :D

In other news, I made *awesome* soup tonight, from a recipe that I modified to make it less heavy and bad-for-you. Yum! I'll have to make it again sometime. Wushu was tough, but not too bad--I'm feeling very glad that I practiced and stayed active over break. Now we just have to learn the rest of the frasking form in 2 weeks! Geh. ;p

And, I'm off to bed. ::poof::

P.S. This is neat! (albeit lengthy) I don't know why. Maybe I'm just amused by the odd mish-mash of French and Japanese stylings. (and the rampant anime and video game references ::rotfl::)

Heh, I should have been more specific--I meant recommending books that will help me get good at 3D modeling and rendering and such.

Although you did remind me that I wanted to do more recreational reading, so I'll keep this stuff in mind. (and yes, I do like Palahniuk)

...Hah!

Color me embarassed.

And I should warn that Jesus' Son is absolutely nothing like Palahniuk except that his characters are generally disreputable types.
Otherwise they aren't similar at all.
