I haven't been keeping up so well on tour dates and shows as of late, so I about peed my pants when I saw this advertised in the Emerald today:

Rufus Wainwright, December 12 @ The Shedd!!

Anyone else interested? I'm definitely going to this, even though it's more expensive(!!) than I expected. Rufus is the authentic awesome, and I haven't been to a show in a while. Yee!

I knocked down 1400 words during my break today! Awww yea. If I get enough time to finish my next chapter tonight, I'll probably come close to 3000 for the day. I'm hoping to get at least another 1000 in.

I just got really tired (must be the 4.5 hours of sleep I got last night), so it's NAP TAIMU

LOL, it's ok--I'm actually having trouble thinking of a good point of reference for his music. ^^; He did a cover of Across The Universe for the I Am Sam soundtrack, I believe. Otherwise, he's actually kind of obscure. :)

I think you have to go to the OFAM ticket office, which is attached to the venue. (between 8th & 9th on High St.)

Oh god oh god oh god... Another act I'll miss due to lack of fundage. Why must all the good concerts be tossed in the space when I don't have a job?

Granted I haven't had a job in almost six months... but still!

His new CD immediately goes up in the top five of albums I must purchase once I run out of broke.
