Random question for the ladies:

Does anyone know where I might find a decent bra, either halter top style or with convertible straps, that does NOT have molded/padded cups? I modded my way-too-huge No Smorking t-shirt into a halter yesterday, and I'm all hype to wear it around, but the last halter bra I got makes my jubblies look, well, a bit weird.

Basically, I'm not digging the molded cup look, because it makes me look fake, so I'm hoping for something more natural. For chrissake, I'm a C/D-cup. I DON'T NEED PADDING. ::explodes::

Uh, right. Work in 15 minutes. And I think I'm having a SLAVE moment. Weird. ::poof::

Call Meier and Frank and find out when they have their next bra fitting they have professionals come and as far as I can tell it is the best way to go bra shopping. My other suggestion is Victorias Secret, they can help you find something that might work out well.

YES. Vicky's Secret/Frederick's of Hollywood have strapless bustiers and bras that have no padding, but they are hard to find. I like JC Penney and Fred Meyer because they always have sales on lingerie. Lane Bryant also has a good lingerie section. I think you'll just have to wander around until one falls on you from the sky. :D

Yeah, I actually looked at Frederick's, but the only ones I could find in their catalogue had molded cups. :p Fie on molded cups! I haven't tried the others, though! :D

Of course. Why else would I be asking to see Sarah's chest, and have no useful advice to offer on the subject of bras? :D

Bra fitting is stupid easy, don't bother with the store.
Get a soft plastic mesuring tape. Put on you best fitting bra (if you don't have one and you are perky enough you don't have to wear a bra to fit, or a tight tank top that holds you in place will work). Measure under your breasts where the elastic is, say it is 37 inches (I'm using my own measurments for an example). Add 5 inches to it, 42 is the band size. Then measure around the fullest part of the breast, usually right accross the nipples, say it is 44 inches, for each inch over the band size is a cup. My bra size is 42B. If you go to Victoria's secret, only add 3 inches, also they stop bras at 38 band size, if I were to buy a bra there I would be a 38D, unless you go over the internet, and they do a poor job of construction. Lane Bryant is also over-priced and poorly made, they also don't always stick to the industry standard mesurments.
I wear mostly barely there bras (extra-large), and I like the Just my size soft cup bras you can buy at target (there is another brand there I like too, I can't remember it though, but the style is 1968, in the pull out drawers). I have also found these neat tank tops at Costco that come in packs of two for $11, they have shelf bras build in, I wouldn't jog in them, but they are comfy and cool in the heat, come in neat colors and do stop most jiggle (since the pill I have gotten some bigger breasts, they jiggle now!). I assume you want a V strap in the back, barely there has one that is nice. Good luck, bra shopping can be a troublesome a jeans shopping, measure before you go and it will be much easier! Don't forget to put the bra on properly in the store, lean forward to fill the cups and ajust the straps.

did the pill really give you bigger boobs?? I dont need the pill right now, but i could use a little bouce on top... :P
as far as a well-fitting bra goes, why not just put bandaids in strategic places? ;) that was always my mom's suggestion!
good luck!

Ack! Well, bandaids would solve the nip problem, but they're not exactly high on support, which is kind of important for a person of my considerable heft. ^^;;;

I on the other hand would be just fine with that solution...except that bandaids: ick. Those "petals" stick-ons are very cute but way too expensive for one-time use items. Otherwise I'd probably never wear a bra!

Bigger breasts through better drugs: if only BC pills were subscription-free, we petite girls would all be smiling ^_^ (more specifically exam free - you know what I mean)
