batskeetsI SURVIVED!! And by that, I mean that I survived my busy night of dispatching. YATTA! ^_-v
It was pretty busy, and I was flipping out a bit at first. The dispatcher generally has to be kind of hard-nosed in order to filter out those who are trying to party-hop and such, but I was still in a very customer service-type mindset, i.e. "must be super-nice to everyone!" But then, around 12:30, I had to tell a guy that he was out of our radius and we couldn't give him a ride. Then he started being a total asshole, at which point I went "OoOoOo, THAT'S MATURE!" and hung up on him. LMAO!! After that, I think I was a bit more comfy with being the Honorary Jackass of the evening. It's actually kind of liberating. :D
Apparently, there was also another sighting of the Stevie Nicks guy last night! This time he'd gotten kicked out of a bar for singing too much karaoke, so he kept trying to get James and Bethany to sing a song with him. ALSDFASKLDFHLKH! That guy cracks me up.
As for the rest of yesterday, I hung around the house doing HW and working for Minijob, and made some pasta for dinner. HOW EXCITING. ::rotfl:: There were some awesome movies on TV that I hadn't seen in a while, though, so that was nice. :D
Today sucks. I have a ton of things to do for class. ;_; Some of them don't have to be finished off until later in the week, though, so if I just get a good start on those things, it'll be okay. It's kind of scary that I keep wondering when things will slow down, and then realize that it's really only getting started. x_x
