I'm effin' tired right now, bleh! I tried to catch up on sleep last night, but, apparently, 9 hours wasn't enough to accomplish that.

So, as I mentioned, that magazine I modeled for came out on Friday, so I went to the release party for a bit. I got there at the tail end, and pretty much everyone was gone at that point, but I got my free copies. I have 3 extra, on the off chance that anyone should want one. Lord knows what I'd do with them, heh. There's an online version, too, with different photos.

Wushu on Friday was the laziest practice ever... I was too sleepy to do much, and my injury was nagging, so I spent most of the time coaching and farting around. The funny part was discovering that Nelson has actually learned a lot of the intermediate form just by watching us do it. ::laughs:: If only everyone remembered their forms that well. I'm probably going to be busting some heads in the fall when everyone comes back and blanks out on their forms.

I spent Saturday in Portland, working this random gig. They called us "models," but in reality, they just wanted some cute girls to walk around the Rose Festival and ask people some doofy survey questions. The people who actually stopped and talked to us were pretty nice, but some folks saw me, saw the clipboard, and just started shaking their heads "No" before I'd even said hello! Sigh. It was kind of annoying at times, but for $17/hr, I'll put up with a pretty large amount of annoyance. On the plus side, I did get to spend the whole afternoon outside near the waterfront, the weather was fantastic, and it was a pretty fun general environment. It could've been much worse.

I got back home on Sunday morning and bopped on over for our Serenity RPG, and I got to stab things a lot. I kind of wish it hadn't been a close-quarters combat, because I desperately wanted to shoot something. ::rotfl:: Being a generalized thug is fun. (yes, I'll wave my nerd flag a little more, thanks) The rest of the day I did photo edits and also some things for The Job, in an attempt to avoid falling asleep too early and screwing up my sleep schedule. It sort of worked. Oh yeah, here's a weird/whimsical one that I edited, from last weekend:

peek-a-boo! )

I also managed to watch the Doctor Who season finale on Sci-Fi, and went kind of nuts trying to figure out who the 10th doctor is. After looking it up, I learned that he was Barty Crouch Jr.! Heh. Apparently I'm a little fuzzier than I thought on British character actors.

That's all for now. ::poof!::
Yeah, that's right, bitches. I sang *THAT* at karaoke last night!! XD My butt-rawk scream needs some work, but wow, that one was hellafun to do. :)

So yeah, fun times on Sunday night. W00t! We had to change plans at the last minute, because the venue we'd originally planned on cancelled the karaoke for some reason, so we ended up at Diablo's for their karaoke night. It kind of sucked, because the guy who was running the system was obviously new to it, and didn't seem to know what he was doing, so there were more than a few technical difficulties. ::eyeroll::

I started things off with the Eurythmics and couldn't even hear myself for half of it due to mic problems, which sucks, because Annie Lennox is my voice twin. Grr. The same thing happened again when I attempted I Love Rock 'n' Roll, too, but I didn't know that song as well as I thought I did, so it wasn't ultimately all that tragic. Highlights that I can think of right now: [livejournal.com profile] divadrummer on Radar Love, Loreen on House of the Rising Sun, Elana doing Black Velvet, and Ben on D'yer Mak'er. (the latter of which has been stuck in my head all morning, gaaahhh)

Well, the weekend turned out to be less busy than I thought, but I think that was a good thing. I biffed around on WoW for a lot of Saturday, leveled Wink via a too-long and fairly painful BRD run (grumble grumble), and got Fiz's first piece of the dungeon 2 set. But, I also managed to clean the house, get my old clothes ready to sell ("buy somethin', will ya?"), and I also did some more picture edits.

Serenity game on Sunday morning was good. Lots of silliness, attempting to beat on stuff, fancy flying, and... projectile vomiting. ::rotfl:: Tom is a crazy man! It certainly didn't help that my character has the Weak Stomach trait, and I also couldn't roll for crap--as if that's anything unusual--but it was entertaining anyway. We get to play again in a couple of weeks, which is sooner than we thought, but considering we weren't able to get through all the plotstuff we wanted to, it's good to not have to wait. :)

I started in on an obnoxious Flash interface before going to karaoke, because I haven't done it in a while, and despite the number of complaints from experienced folk--myself included--about creating and maintaining Flash sites, people still seem to be interested in having those created for them. So, I figured I ought to do one, because then I can point to it and say, "hey, I *can* do annoying Flash interfaces." And no, it's not something I hate doing, because I actually had fun working on that interface, so far, but I don't love seeing the technology used in stupid and impractical ways.

Anyhoo, it's Monday, and I'm sleepy after shorting myself of sleep on Saturday *and* Sunday night. Yeah, not so smart. I have wushu tonight, and hopefully [livejournal.com profile] mathnerd will be taking some clothes off my hands, too. If the weather clears up enough, one of those paid photoshoots that was supposed to happen over the weekend should happen tomorrow evening. Yay!

I'm off for now! ::poof!::
