I can't believe how overcast it's been the past few days. Summer is *definitely* coming to a close--we're back to being unable to tell if it's high-noon or dusk outside due to the insane amount of cloud cover. ;p
I've given up on the computer for the day. The thing that often happens when I'm faced with a problem is that I stare at it, get frustrated, etc., but after I step away from it for a few hours, or overnight, I usually make some handy breakthroughs. :) So hopefully, it'll happen this time, and if not,
alfonzobean will be back in town soon and can help my lame ass. :)
Today's project has now become: re-doing my room! :O
Well, okay, not really to the extent I'd planned, since the computer's still in too many pieces for me to feel comfortable about moving furniture. But I've been working on the wall hangings, and I put up the display boards I made. I have to say, they kick ass! Especially considering that they were essentially free--just cardboard boxes and leftover fabric from the Duo Maxwell costume I made last year. Weee!
I've decided that the fold-out J poster is going to be my colour scheme for my entire room, because it brings together my recent love of reds and my general predisposition for blues/dark grays/blacks so nicely. I can't wait until I have money, and can buy some lovely fabric to cover the dingy, off-white curtains that came with the apartment. Nas-tay. ;p
Anyways, that's what my day has been. I also worked out and did some dishes somewhere in there. (working out when the rec is closed is no fun ;_; Running on the track is a lot harder on my joints, and it's getting so chilly outside!)
I have an interview tomorrow, for a job that I'm not 100% certain I can do. ^^;;; Well, that's not entirely true, because it's just CGI programming and DB stuff, and I can do that to an extent. I just don't know if I can pick up any related skills I might need at a fast enough rate to suit their needs. Gak.
Oh well, I'm still going to go in and at least talk to the guy, and maybe something fabulous will happen. :) And it would be a neat way to broaden my 1337 skillz even more. The toughest part might actually be getting out to his office. ::rotfl:: I'd be able to work from home once I got hired, but I have to go way out to the office in Springfield for the interview. x_x
Right, I'm off.
