A long, long night.
Dec. 17th, 2001 03:27 pmI was all ready to go to bed at Midnight when I was all done with movie night, but when I came back up here, James was still not home. So I thought "oh, well he'll be home soon, so I'll just wait up a little bit for him, since I have things that need doing anyway." And I parked it in front of my computer and did some stuff for work.
TIME PASSES...
Around 1:00am, I thought "oh yeah, it's role-playing, he couldn't have possibly come back before now." and I kept waiting and typing away.
Around 2:00am, I thought "damnit, he said he'd get done early. Punk." but I figured that, if I'd waited this long, I might as well keep waiting, so I kept typing and clicking away at Mr. Computer.
Around 3:00am, I thought "he'd better get his silly ass home VERY SOON." I was starting to worry, because he'd never been gone much past 3am for one of these things before. So I *had* to wait up now, because something might have happened. SO, I kept typing.
Around 4:00am, I gave up and parked on the couch for a bit, and began to watch Shanghai Noon, which is less stressful than work. Still no James.
Around 5:30am, I was gently shaken awake by James, who had finally JUST gotten home. ;p I fell asleep on the couch sometime after 4:30 while waiting for his silly ass. Fortunately, I was too tired at that point to be irritated with him, and I'm still not, because at least he came home unscathed. But damn, that was a long time to wait up.
I am SUCH a mom. -_-;;;;;
So, understandably, I woke up at 2pm today. I was supposed to be back on a normal sleep schedule, damnit! ARGH! ::falls over::
Anyways, I've already told Andre that I'm going to do work stuff from here today, because by the time I got over to the office, I wouldn't have much time before I'd have to leave again to avoid the creepy people who come out after dark when a girl is walking home alone in a poorly lit part of town.
Today might be a good day for Christmas cards. Hm! We'll see if I get my act together enough to go buy some.
