Computers must die, Part II.

So I had a BIG scare a little while ago... y'see, I was poking around with project stuff, when the computer froze all of a sudden. So, I had to reboot.

Except for the fact that it WOULDN'T BOOT UP.

Cue nervous breakdown.

I'm not sure what the problem was, but I tried booting up the poor little Mac again and again, and it wouldn't boot properly. (I guess the System Folder was goofed up or something...) But yeah, I was freaked out beyond all recognition. My entire project was on that machine, and I couldn't even get at it. x_x

Fortunately, James is God of All Macintoshes, so he fixed it for me. ;_; I would have been so screwed without him.

Argh. So I lost a couple hours of work time because the computer hosed itself. I got to put more info into my Palm while I waited, but I was hella, hella nervous.

I should probably just go to bed and call it a day, but I am ever vigilant and/or stubborn, so I'm going to go work on it now.

... is your computer-clock fux0red? Because it sez your post was at 11:08 and it's only 10:45 right now. I think the LJ client takes its time-stamp from the computer system, but I am not entirely sure. My posts are always chronologically accurate, so I don't think it's the server. Hmf.

Yeah, my computer clock is set forward. I'm not sure how it got set forward in the first place, but I found that it was a good way to trick me into not being so late for everything, so I left it that way. ^^;
