I *HATE* trying to park anywhere on or near campus. They're such trolls, and they just *love* giving out tickets. I once got TWO parking tickets in a single day, even, and it was a moving out day! Jerks.

And over by Millrace, it's even worse. They don't even give *tickets* over there. It's either buy a parking sticker, or get towed to some place way out in BFE. I only need to park on campus maybe once or twice a term under special circumstances, and I'm not buying a $81 day-parking sticker for *that*.

I gotta be home between 12 and 3 to wait for the cable guy so they'll turn on our new channels. James will be happy to have Toon Disney. :D I get to start watching QAF on Sunday. Woo! It's a party.

Only $81? Damn... here at MIT it costs approx. $430 to get a yearly parking sticker good only in a garage TEN MINUTES AWAY from work. That's for students -and- staff, if I'm not mistaken. Occasional parking stickers are like $200 or something. Bullsheet!!! Really, guys, if you want me to ride a bike or take a bus to work, please at least make it a more convenient option with indoor bike parking and better/more frequent bus routes...

$430?! Jesu Christo! x_x

$81 isn't *too* terrible in the grand scheme... I'm just bitter after being repeatedly drenched on my bicycle yesterday. ^^;

And *gawd*, indoor or even a covered bike parking area would be nice! Wet pants/underpants from a soaked bicycle seat is *such* a yucky feeling. x_X

For $430 you better get a valet or your name spray-painted on a spot!!! Then again if you can afford MIT you can afford a $430 parking sticker :) Unless you are on scholarship, then you better hope there is an essay contest with a parking sticker award.

This is no doubt going to be a foot in mouth comment, but I think anyone who can afford to go to college and own a car (legally, I know there are lots of you out there with no insurance.) shouldn't be too strapped to come up with $100 for parking (not that I'm not saying it's outrageous.. it is, but that's not my point.)

LOL, you'd be surprised! ;p It's actually my boyfriend's car, but he's here solely on financial aid and scholarships, and he's actually pretty strapped for cash. :)

I just discovered that there are such magical things as "one day passes" available at the Information Kiosk in front of Oregon Hall! I had no idea of this phenomenom! The passes are good for one whole day and only cost two bucks! The only drag is that there are specific lots that you have to park in...

... may your future be ticket-free from now on! :)
