STUPID e-mail. >_

So today, not only was my Outlook account broken, but so was my Mozilla e-mail, for a while. The inbox wouldn't load my index of messages... probably because the folder got too big. Whoops. ^^; I did an uninstall/install of Moz in the hopes that it would let me start from scratch, and it, uh, didn't. :p

Anyways, so I bit the bullet and installed Netscape 6, because I'm crazy, and because Netscape 4.7's e-mail freezes the entire machine every time I open it, so now I can check my mail again. I'm still highly annoyed though. Anyone know how to tinker with the local email storage in Mozilla??

Yeah, Outlook did the same to me a while ago. I tried Eudora, but had the same problems. Only thing I can think to do is do a clean install sometime. Wish I could get those messages back.

You did remember to purge mozregistry.dat before reinstalling Moz or going to N6, right? Without cleaning out basically everything moz* you can't assume the karma won't follow you.

N6 /is/ Mozilla, and an earlier one than whatever you can get direct from Mozilla.org (this is pretty much always true).

Ahhh, that's what I was looking for! But it's okay cos I figured stuff out anyway. ^^;;; I lost all my old e-mail, but all the new stuff works, at least.

(and yes, I know that N6 came from an earlier build of Moz ^^; They won't let you download N4.x anymore though, from what I can see)
