Yanked from John and later on, from Ty. The idea is that you're supposed to answer the questions using quotes from movies, songs, etc. Of course, some of my answers are silly/not wholly true, because this *is* me we're talking about, and I'm always at least a bit silly when I fill out surveys. So here ya go. :p

Who are you?
"You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basket case, a princess, and a criminal. Does that answer your question?"
      --Brian's essay, The Breakfast Club

Where do you come from?
"Well, maybe you think it's intellectual because you were raised with a banana and an inner tube... This is an intellectual-free zone."
      --Harris Telemacher, L.A. Story

What do you look like?
"I'll measure time, I'll measure height,
I'll calculate my birthright,
Good lord I'm big, I'm heading on,
Man-size
Got my leather boots on"
      --PJ Harvey, Man-Size

"Anybody can be glamorous. All you have to do is stand still and look stupid."
      --Hedy Lamarr

What do you want to be?
"I want to be a Klingon, on Fox 45,
I want to be ba-ad and keep my crew alive!"
      --random local TV promo song

"She's been everybody else's girl, maybe one day she'll be her own..."
      --Tori Amos, Girl

What can't you do?
"You saw it too? I've been staring at this thing for a week now from opening to closing and I can't see a goddamned thing! Everyone sees this thing except me. But this time I brought a lunch and a soda and I'm not going to leave until I see this sailboat everyone keeps talking about!"
      --Willam, Mallrats

What is love?
"You've been hurt too much, but we'll still make it in time
I love you from my heart
I want to wipe away the pain that falls on you
Everything is I for you"
--Luna Sea, I For You (translated)

What is friendship?
"Friends are like television. Some are like PBS and always asking for money. Others are like the news, with sad tales to tell everyday, some are like that one station with the foreing language; you don't understand a word of it but you listen and watch anyway. And then there are the ones like the commercials, always changes, ever-so-annoying and only seem to be there when you are bored. But every once and a while you meet someone who's like a really good movie of the week or that one tv show you hardly ever get to see anymore because you're so busy. My point is hold on to the friends you care about and since we don't have a remote control to mute someone or just change the channel, pick your friends carefully."

Are you strong?
"Frank warned me against following anybody. 'Thinking the guy up ahead knows what he's doing is the most dangerous religion there is'."
--Kurt Vonnegut, Wampeters, Foma, and Granfalloons

What are you afraid of?
"No creo en Dios, pero le tengo miedo. " (I don't believe in God, but I'm afraid of Him.)
--Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Love in the Time of Cholera

What comforts you?
"Nobody thinks it will work, do they?"
"No. You just described every great success story."
      --Diane & Lloyd, Say Anything

What would you tell the person who loves you?
"Call me when you're through. Take care of you."
      --Kit, Pretty Woman

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned for Sega."
      --Brodie, Mallrats

What do you want to do?
"All I want to do is graduate from high school, move to Europe, marry Christian Slater, and die!"
--Buffy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (movie)

"His parents would be very proud
If only he stood out from the crowd
And made a name that was his own,
No corporations, just his alone"
      --Bis, Mr. Important

Who do you love?
"That bad crab, only you try to take it. Everybody else wants best quality. You, you thinking different. Waverly took best quality crab. You took worst. Because you have best quality heart."
--Suyuan Woo, The Joy Luck Club

"The dispassionate intellect, the open mind, the unprejudiced observer, exist in an exact sense only in a sort of intellectualist folk-lore; states even approaching them cannot be reached without a moral and emotional effort most of us cannot or will not make."
      --Wilfred Batten Lewis Trotter
