This whole nude model thing we're doing in class has been wigging me ever so slightly. Today we had a male model, and, well, I may sound like a total nut so some of you ladies out there, but I just don't enjoy seeing most men naked, in any capacity.

To better understand the thought process of me looking at a not-wholly-unattractive man, here's the basic sequence: Nice face, strong arms, nice chest, cute tummy, *GAH!*, nice legs, fun feet.

If you didn't catch onto the main point just now, I'm saying that male genitalia is no fun to look at. It's like it's just hanging there randomly like a sock that got tossed onto the back of a chair or something. It doesn't quite seem to fit with the general image of strong maleness that seems to pervade the rest of a man's body.

Now granted, I haven't exactly seen a vast menagerie of samples (and I hope to keep it that way), but those very few that I have seen haven't really enjoyable to look at. I'm not saying there's anything WRONG with a penis, in and of itself, mind you. It's just not an aesthetically pleasing organ.

Anyhoo, I'm here at work now, another day, another stack of dollars. Woo!

I hear you! Finally, someone else who understands =) Female nudity in movies doesn't bother me while male nudity is just...*blech* No matter how cute and/or buff the babe in question. Some things just aren't meant for display.

Well, girl-bits aren't that great either, more's the pity. It's just that they're hidden better.

Girl bits trap odor better than boy bits, too. *shudder*

I'm just of the mind that all genitalia should be replaced with pretty silicone replica in one's choice of colours.

I suppose to keep the balance of opinions I shall place a male perspective here to make things fair. While I agree that yes male sex organs may not be as great to look at as a strapping well oiled well formed male chest or some such, everyone be it male or female always has at least 1 thing on em that's quite remarkable to look at. Keeping that idea in mind it would therefor, be wise to think that there's probably always something on everyone that is *blech* or *ugh* to look at. The key to this puzzle is, finding the person who's most remarkable part just happens to be hanging around *ahem*.

Yes, I've had an art class like that. I kept wondering why he couldn't just wear a thong or something... I mean, everyone knows what would go there!

Come to think of it, I felt the same way for the female models. Although it was funny to hear the sudden shifting of all the male seats in the class...

Hee, we had some ladies too, prior to today's model, but they were women who were either overweight and/or getting on in years. ^^;;

And yeah, I don't see why the guy couldn't have worn a thong, because when I looked at other people's work, there wasn't a single person who actually included the genitals as part of their sketch. -_-;

agreed. which is why there are more girly nudey bars than their are ones with men. who wants to pay to see a penis? especially since all you have to do is go tos easide and go up to any random guy, tell 'em you want him, and you can see a penis right there.

Yeah, male genitilia is pretty odd looking. Why aren't we as accustomed to looking at it as we are women? Maybe because men tend to seek out porn more, and want to see women in it? And since men tend to be more homophobic than women, anybody producing a movie, magazine, etc. know that women won't be grossed out by seeing naked women, but guys will cringe when they see another guy's unit, so they're less likely to show one? Less male frontal nudity might allow us all to become a little more sensitized.

Whatever the aesthetic questionability, I gotta say this: There's no beating a penis for functionality. Gotta urinate? Just whip one out of your pants wherever it happens to be socially acceptable, no need to sit down on that nasty toilet seat. Need a prophylactic? Throw on a condom. Low maintenance, too, no need for pap smears, less likely to have any sort of infections. The only drawbacks are you gotta avoid getting kicked in the gnads, and walking can be difficult when that hottie in the bikini top walks by.

Say what you will, I'm a satisfied customer. As the Monty Python boys said, "Isn't it wonderful to have a penis?"
