Believe me, I would love to, but I can't figure out *which* neighbours to sic the cops on. ^^; Not only are there all the surrounding apartments in my building, but we're also directly across from a couple apartments in another building. x_x
Yeah! Maybe they'll bring the drug dogs!! Drug dogs rule!
I had these kids who used to smoke weed under my kitchen window. I'd just open the blinds and stare at them for a good 5 minutes before they'd notice, and it would suitably scare the hell out of 'em. I asked them to stop, and they were really nice about it.
If you can figure out who it was, slip a note under the door asking them to please bake it into cookies or make clarified butter with it next time. More efficient, no smell. It should embarrass them enough to get the point across.
I've never been convinced that calling the feds is a reasonable response to something whose short-term impact is little more than a bad smell, giggliness and poseur philosophizing, no matter how you feel about drug use in general. Now, if they were high and driving...
(In the UK at the moment, marijuana possession gets a verbal warning in most urban centres. A call like this would either be ignored or treated as sufficiently nonurgent that, by the time the cops got there, it'd be all gone anyhow.)
