Running out of heating oil suuucks. I don't recommend it. ;p We ran out sometime on Wednesday, and the guy is supposed to bring more oil today.

The idiotic part is, when we scheduled with the guy, we asked for a ballpark estimate of when they would be coming to the house. They said they COULDN'T GIVE US ONE. There are 8 hours in a standard business day, is it really that hard to narrow it down even a little? Even, "sometime in the afternoon," would be better than just, "Friday," for monkey's sake.

I am going to be PISSED if they don't show up today.

Also, I have to relate this phone call from the other day:

CUSTOMER SERVICE LADY: (updating our business' contact information) ...and I have your address down as [address here], is that correct?

ME: Oh, I'd better update that! The new address is #### SE 70th Avenue...

CUSTOMER SERVICE LADY: (to self) #... #... #... #... (to me) Okay, go ahead?

ME: SE 70th Avenue...

CUSTOMER SERVICE LADY: (to self) Southeast... (sounds of her hunting and pecking for all nine letters of "Southeast" on her keyboard, instead of the "SE" abbreviation)

(to me) Okay, can you spell that for me?

ME: Um... 70th? As in, the number 70?

CUSTOMER SERVICE LADY: Oh, okay! (types a little) So that's #### Southeast Seventy Avenue...

ME: (facepalm)

Call me crazy, but as far as street addresses go, ours is about as easy as it gets! How could this dingbat could completely misinterpret it? I didn't hear a crazy accent, so she doesn't even have the English as a Second Language excuse.

The mind, it reels.
