Friday sneaked up on me! I guess being in Eugene on Monday instead of at work threw off my mental calendar. Feeling fairly mellow today. Got to see Amy and Travis last night, and hang out and play Beatles Rock Band. I love the vocal harmonies so much. <3 I also need to make a concerned effort to see more of A & T, because sometimes months will go by between times that we meet up, and they are cool and deserve more of my time than that!
Then again, I need to make a concerned effort to see more of pretty much all my friends. Hopefully I can get back on it once I shake off the last of this head cold.
I am SO SORE. Running again after several weeks off kind of kicked my butt. And then I circuit trained yesterday, and had to haul ass on my bike to get to my counseling appointment, so that made me even more sore! I'm doing my back workout today, come hell or high water, and there's wushu later, so hopefully I'll burn out at least *some* of the crap food I've been consuming over the past week or two. Enough is enough, damnit.
Tonight is one, or possibly both of the following, depending on how sore I am, and how slow I am to get out of the shower after wushu:
1) Dancing at the Fez with
marykae and whoever else decides to show up
2) Beetlejuice at the Bagdad with
matrixleap and
herince_emyn and whoever else.
Tomorrow is a senior portrait, which should be *really* cool, because it's going to be at a horse farm in the 'Tron. Only hitch is making it to wushu after that, which could be a problem. Also considering Baconfest.
Speaking of senior portraits, here's one from the session I did last Saturday:
( +1 high school kid )
This girl also models, and has a way of looking much more mature than her 17 years when she's in photos. I wanted to get her looking more smiley and natural, instead of pose-y and "fierce," and also make her look closer to her age. The MUA she hired went kind of heavy on the eye makeup, but other than that, I'm pretty happy with the results. I think the turning point of the session was when I told her that she could make dorky faces if she wanted to... there's a shot I haven't gotten to yet where she's making cross-eyed face, and it's pretty hilarious. ;)
That's all.
