Aug. 24th, 2009 10:43 amI think I'm done freaking out about my knee. (I hope) I'll be looking up a specialist today or tomorrow, and it is starting to feel better, finally. I've been applying ice to it post-workout, and
saofoir showed me this cool trick with a frozen water bottle that I hope to try. I had my crying jag, and now I'm over it.
I'm also going to replace running with biking for a while... which irritates me a bit, because I felt like I was actually getting halfway decent at running, for ONCE, but eh, you can't run at all with a non-functional knee, right? ;p I might even try swimming once in a while, but I tend to avoid that because it always makes me ridiculously hungry. Seriously, I did not lose a single pound on swim team in high school, because I'd come home from practice and eat EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD. But, now that I think about it, it might've been mistaking dehydration for hunger. Yay for being more educated about health and nutrition.
------------------------------
Anyhoo, this weekend was equal parts unexpected and awesome.
( tl;dr )
Things are looking up today. Boy is back from rafting with his fam, and I have a surprisingly empty week outside of The Job. Which, really, is exactly what I need, at this moment. Yay. :D
