Ah, my sporadic and varied TV- and movie-viewing habits. Onward!

First off, I must warn you away from Bee Movie. It was a hackneyed snorefest of epic proportions, and we only even went to it because one of our friends likes Jerry Seinfeld. Y'all, even if you *do* like Jerry Seinfeld, I doubt it'd be enough to mitigate the fact that this movie sucks.

Fortunately, we had to run off to the Jim Gaffigan show right after the movie, and he totally brought the funny, so, any Bee-Movie-related mental anguish was short-lived in my memory. If he comes to your town, make an effort to catch his show, because it's a kick for sure. P.S. Hoooootttt Pockeeeets!

On the plus side, we rented Mr. Brooks, and it was actually good. Kevin Costner takes on a pretty different sort of character from his usual and does well at it, and William Hurt also rocked it. I could've done without Dane Cook--seriously, you guys, I don't get the appeal--but even he did okay for a comedian taking on a serious role. He had some tough actors to measure up with, so I can forgive it.

We finished watching Rome a couple of days ago. We were pretty much hooked from the get-go, so we knocked it out in less than two weeks, heh. It was an enjoyable view, and it was apparently pretty accurate to history... or so Wikipedia would have us believe, anyway. Bummer that it got canceled, but I can see where the production costs would've stacked up in a hurry.

Finally, we started watching Heroes a couple nights ago, after hearing everyone and their grandmother raving about it. Coming off of the awesome that is Rome, I'm feeling fairly underwhelmed by Heroes thus far, but we've only watched 2 episodes. Does it take long to get into the show? Or did all of you who're hooked on it get sucked in from the start?

Also, predictably, I have a ridiculous amount of goodwill for Hiro Nakamura. Yes, my affinity for cute Japanese people still abides, apparently. XD

In a continuing effort to have healthy food available when I need it, I signed us up for one of those services that gets produce from local farms and delivers it to your house on a regular basis. It's cost-effective, it supports the local economy, and it requires no effort from me, so it's Win all around. They start delivering to us next week! I'm so ridiculously excited by this. XD

Anyhoo, that's all for now. Back to work!
