quickie

Today was, simply put, a bad-ass day for sailing. It was pretty calm until about mid-afternoon, and then the wind picked up and we pretty much hauled ass all over the place until close to sundown. :) I think I'm actually learning my way around a sailboat, too, or at least advancing past "largely incompetent," anyway.

The shoot yesterday morning was super-easy, and I think it went pretty well. I got to wear comfy clothes and act natural and smile a lot, which is a fair bit different than everything else I've done thus far. I think we'll get some good material from it, though, so yay!

Watched Lucky Number Slevin last night, and it was okay. It was one of those movies where you sit there for most of it, wondering how it all ties together... and then they tell you *everything* in a series of flashbacks during the last 15 minutes or so. They don't really make you figure any of it out for yourself, either, because they're writing for the lowest common denominator and they think we're all morons... so, yeah, you end up feeling kind of ripped off when it's all over. Sigh.

Anyhoo, it sucks that tomorrow's Monday, but what can you do. ;p
