In a totally graceful, genius move, I managed to cut my finger last night. The cut is near the tip, so whenever I type a letter in the bottom row of my keyboard, I get a stinging sensation in my finger, thanks to the cut. YAY. :p
So, I keep a Xanga journal which I mainly have for the purpose of keeping up with wushu people, but I sometimes update it sporadically. When I was updating it recently, I went off on this schpiel about how I'd love to take a vacation where I can just sit at home, play games, and go to the gym for extra-long training sessions. Lots of yoga, lifting, wushu, and taiji... whee!
Of course, now, I'm looking at that comment, and wondering how going to the gym suddenly became a part of my uber-R&R vacation. Exercise used to be a boring-but-necessary act, at best! When the hell did I turn into a gym rat? ;p
In other news, last night was great, but in a simple sort of way. I had an excellent workout, a delicious dinner, watched some TV, and (gasp!) actually had a chance to sit in bed and READ something. It was just a couple of short stories that J recommended I look at, but I actually had time to read! Holy crap! Now I just need to decide what to take on the plane for reading when I leave this Thursday.
Trip is looking good. Getting to San Fran is not looking very likely, unfortunately, but it looks like I get to visit with grandparents, at least. Yay! Also, is it weird that I'm kind of looking forward to the plane ride? Most people hate that sort of thing, but it sounds pretty awesome to me, at least as compared to driving it. Oh, and I'm getting my 'do tightened up the morning before I leave, too. Yay!
Even work is going well. I've got my focus back. Sleep is a wondrous thing.
Anyhoo, I'm going to stop typing this now, because my stupid finger hurts. :p
