I got bored and skimmed through some blog archives for a couple of minutes since I last posted, and I have to link this, especially for all you former Douglass-ites. Yeah, it can't possibly be *our* unicycle guy, but still: it's funny because it's true!
Tonight is the company picnic, or "Luau," as the year's theme dictates. Probably won't be there for too terribly long, because my eye problems have left me feeling A) tired, B) anti-social, and C) just plain cranky. And I'd also rather go to Taiji class, which begins exactly 1.5 hours after the picnic starts. And also, I have absolutely nothing in my closet that is Hawaiian-themed. Or even floral. Gigantic, flowery prints are my nemesis, y'all.
Seriously, if you see something in a floral print, and think, "gee, Sarah might like that," then it had better be the coolest floral print in the history of Ever, because I have yet to find one that I would willingly add to my collection of clothing and accessories. Florals. Hate. Me. And they often make me feel 15 years older and 15 times dumpier. So yes, put it back on the hanger and buy me a nice vertical-stripe-patterned thingy instead. Or a boldly-colored solid. Or maybe a video game. Ooo, if you buy me a video game, then it can have as many flowers as you like! See? Everyone's happy. :D
I'm trying something new in weight training: drop sets. I only did my legs last night, but holy crappers, a good drop set will burn you out. My legs are *still* tired! Supposedly, drop sets engage your slow-, medium-, *and* fast-twitch muscles, so that's probably why. I look forward to busting this out on my upper body over the weekend.
Taiji is going to be rough as hell tonight, though. Oy.
( What's my type of humor? )
That seems a bit off. On the scant few occasions when I've felt compelled to attempt a practical joke, I usually blew it on the follow-through due to uncontrollable giggles or some other such thing. ;p But yeah, outside of the "prank" aspect, it seems accurate.
Edit: I totally just won One Dart Monty, LOL! (throw one dart, highest score takes all) I landed a double 19. W00t!
