The following picture? Damn near killed me. ::rotfl::
( Damn those ninjas! )
I need a digital piano NOWNOWNOW. The group opted to go without accompaniment before we even started rehearsing songs at all, but I did get a chance to tinker around a bit yesterday. Compared to how I used to play, it was REALLY BAD. And really, if I'd actually had access to a piano every time I've wanted to play over the past, oh, two YEARS or so, it would *never* have gotten this bad. I was pretty much screwed out of any easy opportunity to play when the Music School put a combo lock on their practice rooms. Well, I can get it back, I just need a damned instrument to practice on. Maybe I can get one after Christmas.
See? This is my ongoing problem. Too many things I want to devote my time to, and not enough time to devote to said things. It's a wonder I can keep my head glued on, sometimes.
Anyway, singing for the old folks should be fun. I was reminded yesterday as to why I liked doing SSAA choral arrangements better than SATB, though--I seem to get more enjoyment out of singing Alto II than singing the Alto part (which sometimes borders on mezzo-soprano, depending on the song) in an SATB piece. ::shrug::
First week of no wushu practices. Blah. It's going to be horribly difficult to stay motivated over the next 3-4 weeks.
junsiew and I are going to do lifting and practice Nanquan tonight, but who knows how long we'll keep it up. ^^; I definitely need to find an activity that's less boring than the treadmill or the elliptical trainer. Where's that broadsword?! :p
Also: I want to see Closer, for some reason. Although I hear it's a pretty dark film (I'll have to choose my viewing companions carefully, I suspect), the acting is supposed to be superb. And I'm quite a fan of Clive Owen, thus far. Well, and there's Mr. Law, but I'm sure that was an obvious draw. ;p Hopefully the two of them together have sufficient acting chops to cancel out icky Julia Roberts.
Build's done! Back to it. :D
