Work last night was kind of boring, but the shift still seemed to fly by. We also got crazy tips for a Wednesday, so that brings happiness! I hope the trend continues.

I had *another* person e-mail me about being conversation partners! This time, a girl. Gaaaahhh! I really need to review if I'm going to avoid sounding like a complete tool. I will definitely have to get on it this weekend.

Today: jobstuff, make roadmap PDF, hiring pages, Minijobbing, e-mails/calls.

A Tale of Two Annoying Chicks

But first, a sidebar: How the Secret Service protects Bush from free speech. I about vomited reading this.

Anyway! Yesterday at Target, I bore witness to the following. Imagine these lines being spoken in vapid sorostitute voices:

Girl 1: Oh my god, should I get this scale?
Girl 2: Yeah, we'll probably get use out of it...
Girl 1: Well, but it's $50.
Girl 2: You don't need a $50 scale.
Girl 1: Well, we'll put it in the cart and decide on our walk, okay?

I was in the same aisle looking at shoe racks, at the time, and I quietly took a quick gander at said scale. Other than the fact that it shows your weight on an LCD window, it seemed like a pretty normal scale to me. Certainly not something I'd want to pay $50 for.

Mere moments later, a couple friends of theirs show up.

Girl 1: You guys, talk me out of buying a $50 scale!
Friend 1: Um, you don't need a $50 scale.
Girl 1: But it's so CUTE! Look at it!

Seriously, guys. If the scale does something extra, like, say, calculuating your body fat percentage, I might understand. But for the love of god, YOU DO NOT SPEND $50 ON A SCALE BECAUSE IT'S "CUTE" UGH DIE PLZ.

Well, okay, maybe you do if your rich and snooty Daddy buys you everything you want. But *I* sure as hell don't.
