Yes, somebody in line at the movie theater recognized my t-shirt! Hee. :D

So, [livejournal.com profile] rantar called me earlier today, and told me that he and the rest of the crew were planning to arrive at the movie theater around 8pm. We all had tickets for the 10:30 show. For those who don't want to do the math, that's 2.5 HOURS of sitting in line! I didn't actually arrive until almost 8:30, but that was still a long time to wait.

I brought my knitting, though, so that occupied my hands, while I intermittently chatted with people. :) They also brought some cards, Tim brought his Game Boy Advance, and Kim bought a sketchbook at Target, so I wasn't the only one with timewasting activities in tow. And, we got incredibly choice seats as a reward for our patience. No nosebleed seats or neck-craning for us!

So, Return of the King was very gratifying for me. Gwaaaaa. :D

A few thoughts, shouldn't be any specific spoilers )

ANYWAY, my errands today went well, although I didn't make it to the Rec today for lifting, because I loaned [livejournal.com profile] junsiew my little 13-inch TV, and wound up spending a good 1.5 hours hanging around and talking at her temporary room in Bean. It's pretty quiet in there with a mere 5 kids left in the East side of the building, so maybe I should drop in more often over the break.

I fixed my crash-happy Illustrator install today. All it took was a Windows Update. Feeling a little silly now.

To do tomorrow: pick up Kinko's order, call webhost about e-mail server problems, knitknitknit. And freelance, of course.
Damn you, [livejournal.com profile] junsiew! The truffles you gave me are too delicious! ;p I haven't eaten all seven of them, though, so that's probably a good sign.

Anyway, I got an e-mail today from a male NJ who is looking for a conversation partner. I'm jazzed about that, but also weirded out, because I've never had a conversation partner before, and I have no idea how it's going to work. I'm probably far too mystified by and worried about it. Still, any Japanese practice is good, especially since my speaking and listening skills are getting pretty awful, as of late.

I picked up my print at Kinko's today, and it's actually looking pretty good, I think. I hope this turns out as nice as I envisioned, even if probably I can't afford a frame for it. It's 30x7 inches, so it's a non-standard frame size, and the guy at the frame shop gave me some exorbitant price as a bottom-of-the-line, starting figure. I may scout out more frame shops tomorrow to see if I can do better, but I don't know how that will go. I wonder if I could make my own?

I also went to the Rec and did some lifting, *and* some wushu. My lifting session was good--I've kept active enough to not lose much ground in strength training. I'm already starting to lose some of the flexibility I gained through wushu, though, which is annoying. But, if I stick to it, it'll come back before January. I'm still bummed at the lack of practices over the break, though. Apparently I'm the only weirdo who hangs around Eugene for this long after finals. ;p

Naruto 63 is out! It's not the ANBU-AonE release, but I'm downloading it anyway. :D

I felt like posting right now, for some reason, but I should really get on the knitting--I made a lot of progress yesterday, but there's still a ways to go, yet. I'll probably hop on the computer again later for some late-night scripting or graphics work.
