"SPOON!"

Dec. 14th, 2003 04:22 am
I can't believe it snowed today! It didn't really stick at all, but the fact that it snowed twice in one winter, in Eugene, is totally unexpected. I also had to drive home from the movie theater in the middle of the snowfall, which kind of sucked, but it was still really cool at the same time. I wish it stuck more, because I would have loved to take some pictures. Everything looked so pristine and gorgeous the last time it snowed, but I was at Uni without my camera, so it melted before I got the chance.

So, The Last Samurai was *excellent*. OMFG.

Thoughts on The Last Samurai--may contain mild spoilers )

In other news, the guys at work seem quite determined to rent Okie Noodling and watch it. We were talking about it today, and it's apparently this *really* bizarre Midwestern activity, which involves catching catfish with your bare hands, and it's only legal in three states. I can't help but laugh about it, so who knows, it could prove interesting.

So, hey, I'm in a pretty good mood. Work was okay; we spent the first hour and a half just sitting around the office, because nobody was calling. Things picked up after that, but it was pretty calm, overall.

I smell like flowers today, and this makes me happy. Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner was on sale the other day, so I got some. Their commercials are terribly stupid, but I like their product in spite of that. It makes my hair especially soft and fragrant.

To do tomorrow: finish the supplemental questions for the Uni job, do some freelance stuff, try to figure out why Illustrator keeps crashing on startup, finish vacuuming, either play DDR or find a wushu practice spot, maybe apply for more jobs.

Anyhoo, I'm off to find something to eat, since I had a late lunch, but didn't really have any dinner.
So, today has been relaxing, for the most part. I downloaded FLCL on Kazaa last night and today, and I'm eager to watch it. Thank god there are only seven episodes, because my second hard drive is already bursting just from the 62 Naruto episodes. Fortunately, FuriKuri is a short enough series that it might be worth burning them to CD.

Today, I finished my supplemental questions--my answers aren't that long, but I think they get the point across. I also joined [livejournal.com profile] aleisha's Firefly gathering for the hour before the Survivor finale. God, I love Firefly; it's such a fantastic show, and I still can't believe it was axed so quickly. Stupid Fox! :pppp I love me some Captain Tightpants. I *must* have the DVD set!

And now, as [livejournal.com profile] starkodama might say, SURVIVOR BABBLING TAIMU! Not like anyone will be spoiled at this point, but I'll cut it anyway. )

I had a rather bizarre dream last night, where I was trying to bust [livejournal.com profile] simurgh out of this creepy hospital, because they wouldn't let him leave, even though he was perfectly healthy. It was all Resident Evil-looking and such, and the dream was set up sort of like Groundhog Day, where I had to repeat the escape over and over until I got it right, and each time I would have to remember a different detail, like stealing and wearing a doctor's coat in order to look all official, or hiding around a certain corner so I wouldn't be spotted. Whenever we got caught, it'd just start me over outside the hospital again. Weird.

To do tomorrow: Turn in app for the Uni job, go to bank, wushu solo practice.

Stupid quiz taimu!!

What kind of postmodernist am I? Weird. )

And now, I'm going to try and write this script that I've been putting off. I might do it in PHP instead of Perl, but we'll see.
