Work was easy last night, thank god. Katy and Ty went and rented Identity to alleviate our boredom, and it was kind of an interesting movie. Katy completely called it on who was the killer, though, and I don't think we were even halfway through the movie at that point. ::laughs:: But eh, any excuse to watch John Cusack for 90 minutes is okay by me.
I went to Shiki before my shift at the Comet, and applied there--they basically just said that they'd call back soon, which is fine, because they were pretty busy serving people at the time, but the lady who took my application was really sweet.
My headache is finally gone! :D
After hearing about James' canvassing experience yesterday, I think I begin to understand why a lot of folks tend to blow off environmentalists. They sounded like the most disorganized, militant, and utterly unpleasant bunch I'd have ever encountered, and they fit all the awful, tree-hugging hippie stereotypes. (Yes, including the stereotype that involves really offensive personal hygiene) Pair that with the fact that, when you do the math, the canvassers actually make *less* than minimum wage once you throw in all the time spent on the road, I don't blame him in the slightest for not going back. Christ, what a bunch of wankers.
Okay, whose stupid idea was it to add sound to already obnoxious banner advertisements?? I owe them a good kick in the shins.
Anyhoo! I have my interview at 2pm, and sometime after that, we're shoving off for Portland.
