I was minijobbing for most of the day, until [livejournal.com profile] rantar, [livejournal.com profile] bookid, and (later) [livejournal.com profile] polysciguy popped in for a spell. After relocating and hanging around at Sean's, we got a call from [livejournal.com profile] rkelly's new place, telling us to come and hang out with the rest of the gaggle. :) Ran has a cute apartment, with lovely wood flooring! Although she does have the *exact* same 1970's-looking stove that we do, so I guess I don't feel like a total loser. It still makes me want to move somewhere nicer, though. :)

Anyhoo, I'm fussing with PHP stupf right now, mainly trying to set up a decent environment so I can crank out some code at a later date.

Today, install Apache.
Tomorrow, RULE THE WORLD! produce some fabulous PHP documents!

I actually should probably hit the sack soon, for I have internshipping to do on the morrow! They don't have any set hours for me, but I'd like to get in at a decent hour on the first day, at the very least.

And, I'm spent.

I must play SMAP songs in honour of [livejournal.com profile] starkodama and her *amazing* encounter with the ever-fabulous KATORI SHINGO!! :D I am *so* floored by it! And I'm now even *more* convinced that I need to go to Japan, for I will be sure to rub elbows with beautiful Japanese stars! It seems like they just can't resist hot gaijin fangirls like us. ^_-

So anyway, I'm back from the office, and it's sounding like a quiet first week for the project. Jo is apparently gone until next week, and the director is returning from a month-long absence tomorrow, so we're probably not going to have any meetings until at least later in the week. Mostly, I'll be looking at the current ONHW website and making notes of what does/doesn't work, and coming up with some new and fabulous ideas. So, hey, I'll have a lot of time to get comfortable with PHP stupf, in the meantime.

Also: no word on internshippy bling bling until probably August. But that's okay, because that's right about when I'd start really needing it, and they'd at least attempt to pay me retroactively for previously logged hours. And if it doesn't work out, then eh, I'll live.

And OH MAN! The QAF finale totally kicked my ass yesterday! I missed a lot of the dialogue because I was Minijobbing and we were geeking out over various roleplaying games at the time, but there were a few bits that nearly made me fall out of my chair. I *need* to watch it again when it re-airs on Tuesday.

There may be more Minijobbing later today, it kind of depends on my mood and whether or not I can think of anything to do.

AND! I'm done.

Or, I should say, two random and completely unrelated questions:

1. Does anyone know how to keep your Y! IM online status from showing on your Yahoo web profile, without keeping people who are on your buddy list from seeing you? A lot of random, scary, 30-somethings who can't type having been pestering me in the middle of a gaming binge, and/or leaving creepy messages when I'm away, and it's really irritating me and skeeving me out.

2. Does anyone know the approximate shelf life of miso paste? I bought a sizeable package of it when I went to Sunrise, but that was ~1 month ago, and I haven't finished it off yet. I don't want to make everyone sick with tainted miso, but I don't want to just throw it out if I could still use it.

In other news, my little brother (well, or the closest thing I've ever had to a little brother) is now officially a Marine!! GAAAAH!

Okay, I'm gone.
