OH MY SWEET LORD!!

For those who don't want to read the whole thing, I'll just direct your attention to the important bit:

AND in August (It's looking like the 14th) I'll be in Portland again, this time doing a signing at the Big Store. That's right, I will be signing at Powell's CityOf Books, in the heart of Spudnuts country.

OMFG I AM SO GOING I DON'T CARE WHAT IT TAKES YEEEEEEEEE

Damn. First they bring me Bruce Campbell, now this? I LOVE YOU POWELL'S <3 <3 <3

Well, back to my late-night cleaning spree. :)
Starting the day off with a bit of a problem:
--Dynee and Mike were running late on their departure, and Chuck was leaving at 3, so he gave us (via James) their keys so they could still move in downstairs
--Dynee and Mike should be arriving any minute now
--I was hoping to go to the bank today, and it closes at 6
--I am in dire need of a shower before I go to the bank
--My lack of shower also makes me wary about helping them move their stuff, as I originally offered, because I probably stink to high heaven.
--For some reason, James wasn't here when I woke up, even though he knew about the keys, so I must remain available to answer the door.
--Being available to answer the door means I can't take a shower.
--That also means that I can't go look for James.

Bleeeehhhhhhh. Not good. I guess I'll feed my face and watch Naruto 37 or Gluhen 11. :D
I spent my late afternoon/early evening helping [livejournal.com profile] dynee and Mike move their stuff in--they're now just one floor down from us! :D Oddly enough, they're in what used to be "kender-sized" Alicia's apartment. We've lured way too many people into living in our building.

We're also getting a new-to-us couch out of the deal! They decided they were going to just take theirs to Goodwill if nobody wanted it, so I jumped on that right away, because I am the master of hand-me-down furniture. ::rotfl:: And also because the couch that came with our apartment now has springy parts beginning to stick out of it, so it's ready to be swapped out. All we really need now is a dining room table and chairs, and we can go pretty much anywhere when it comes time to move up in the world.

Anyway, now I'm at work, and the EMU cleaning staff guy has the most god-awful music playing at some insane volume right now. Things like this really make me wish that our office was an actual office, rather than some crappy cubicle in the corner of the hallway.

Sometimes I get really, really sick of this town. Every time I've been away from it for too long, I started to really miss it, but that had more to do with who was here than the town itself. I guess I don't hate Eugene, but I'm not exactly hype to spend the rest of my life here. And I am *so* taking a vacation when I'm able! I'll probably have to start working at Law again by then, though, so it might have to wait until Y-Con. But agh, I *need* to go somewhere, even if only for a couple days.

What sort of European am I? )

Tomorrow = work, and swapping out the old couch in favour of the new one. Other than that, I have no idea what I'll feel up to doing.

And I'm off like a dirty shirt!
